Important Review
Best Flashing I've owned. The way it works is great. Don't pay attention to the other negative reviews as they mention the 9.9k mode only lasting 10 seconds, its a safety feature so it doesn't accidentally burn a hole in your pocket. If you need more time, press the button again SMH. It does get hot but you'd have to hold down the 9.9k mode for over a minute which you'll never need. The regular low, medium and high mode is perfectly bright for any scenario and the battery lasts a long long time as well. The design is great. Its small and efficient. I think everyone should have one especially for defense if you're not trained to defend yourself in other ways. Id say 10/10. I've owned it for over 6 months now and it's flawless.

Only is bright for seconds before shutting down to a dull light
This light is a good light. The super bright mode only last seconds before it shuts off due to getting too hot. It's incredibly bright for seconds but I would not recommend this light to anybody. I wish I would have known it only works for seconds before shutting down to a dull light.

Brand new out of the box and the tile switch broke in three weeks and never left my house..👎
Have three or four of the older TM9K by Nightcore That several years old and has worked perfectly. This new light was this expensive did not have a hard case and I have every night core light from 10 to the strongest like they make that runs about $350. They have changed the dumb switch on back of light and the one I just got that only has three instead of 10 lights, did not even last one month with never leaving my table, never been wet, never been outside and the switch didn’t work after three weeks. For $130 or whatever it cost, you would expect something to last longer than a period of weeks, even if it is made and or with labor that would not be allowed to be made in the USA. Go team, Trump and bringing back quality precision to products made in the USA. These lights have had a history of not functioning properly or my 40 Revac light that still works. This high dollar thing doesn’t work after three weeks. Decide for yourself. Ray-o-Vac can get for $10 it will last a lifetime.. I like the light if it will last for longer than a month and I don’t have to do battle to get it replaced which is the last thing anyone wants. Build a better product.

Over the top, beyond usefulness for most people..
Though I think, Based on the HC35 model, NiteCore is the maker of the best flashlights in the world; I find this product mind-bogglingly complex! So much so that it may be beyond useful. Color temperature not correct for this type of tool. Higher color temp gives more light with more efficiency and less heat.. Cost is 30% more than HC35 for a poorly designed operating system. The body is too short. It is a little like a one race car that is spec'd out to the n'th degree so that it explodes in death at the end of the first race. In line with that thinking, there is no way to replace the battery. On a higher power, the head will burn your hand. I believe the philosophy of pressing specifications to the limit is applied properly in the HC35, this item is overkill and just beyond useful function for most people. Also, it has no strobe mode, a useful feature that could have been implemented in software, which would have switched the light into a <1% duty cycle and eliminated the extreme heat. I feel the designer's pain in implementing so many features with few buttons. Please tear off this sheet and begin again. MH.

Very versatile and user friendly torchlight
My dislike is that I wish l could of have more but the price is too steep. However, I really love it. The first one served me excellently. I really wish I could own more. Excellent battery life. It lasts three 12 hours night cycle followed by three daylight cycle. Then I would charge it.
