Verry good machine, i love the fact that i can change the engaged pin set and offset the punch depth, come with everything you need to get started. The only thing that would make it better is if it came with a variety of coils not just a ton of one size. I'm not really sure if the little electric roller is a must, i find it causes more problems than it solves.

As a homeschooler, spiral bound workbooks are the GOAT. But they’re pretty expensive. Even the cheaper printing companies take weeks. I had to take matters into my own hands. With 5 kids, I was on a printing light budget. I decided I would help myself and my local homeschool friends. So far, the machine is very easy to use. It’s a hole press. But adjustable, heavy duty sort of one. It punches great. The depth adjustment is a little finicky but once you figure it out it’s fine. I haven’t tried the electric spiral inserted yet. Primarily because they only sent half the power cord. I haven’t contacted customer service yet, but I assume when I do, they will help me. However it is quite easily to insert the rings by hand. The hardest part is using the pliers. I plan to watch a Youtube video of how best to use them, as getting the end of the rings just right is possibly a skill. Overall though I am very happy, especially that it came with clear covers and rings (though this size is limited to use with pretty small booklets). I have been able to print so many more things without having loose papers everywhere or having to print the next page every day… it is glorious. Easy to pack our materials and go to the library. Yes I highly recommend. You can make a small business out of it if you need to ;)

Bought this to bundle gaming rules and scenarios. (and maybe grade school projects) It's a bit of a pull to punch through 20 pages, but it did just fine, ditto with two of the clear plastic covers. One caveat is that the pullout margin depth gauge - there ARE three clicks to it, but they don't line up with the color-coded marks. The 6mm label never pulled out far enough to actually see, so it took a bit of careful fiddling, but I was able to feel each of the three points by being careful. The spiral winder again took a couple of practice tries - hold everything tightly together, and keep the spiral lightly pressed to the bottom where the roller and body of the machine meet. I had a couple of wires get sucked into the machine, and the spiral didn't always make it through both sides of the packet. For the price, this was an absolute steal! ^_^
