I purchase coco coir 20 times a year. and have tried many different brands and types. from the single block style to the smaller individually sized ones.. this one worked perfectly. i throw this into a large black 20 gallon storage bin add water throw in perlite and vermiculite and bam. perfect seedling soil . I use the whole block at one time which is recommended or you will have to cut it which isn't an easy thing to accomplish soil doing smaller grows over time do not buy this buy the smaller ones and use it all once. I learned this the hardway and now I will only buy what I need at that time. and the price was great also. since I purchase coco all the time this was a great price for the size of it. which I shard to calculate because they all use different measurements

I’ve been using this for a couple of months now long enough to give an opinion on it and I can say that my homemade potting mix and seed starting mixes that use this as a base have been doing great. This particular product is a much better value per dollar than what you can buy at brick and mortar stores. I have also used Burpee Coconut Coir and I will say this product is probably a smidge behind that in quality. It doesn’t mix quite as well (to be perfectly clear it isn’t that much of a difference) and I have not compared this to other Coconut Coir options on Amazon. But I am totally satisfied with this so I don’t see any reason to try others and end up with a worse product.

Only downside is it takes a while to soak up water to expand. Other than that. You cant beat the price. Its not a top quality coco such as canna, but it also doesn't have the canna price tag. It does have some stringy areas, but for my use it doesn't bother me, but you could always cut the stringy areas with scissors if need be. I always precharge my coco, so I cant say if there's any built up salts, but I've never had any issues

We mixed this in our potting soil and the plants loved it. Then I added some to my personal mix of walnuts, raisins, and chocolate chips. I was hoping to add a coconut flavor. But the fibers were too chewy and got stuck in my teeth. I was planning to use this in a batch of coconut brownies for my nephew's birthday, but now I have my doubts. Final verdict: Excellent for growing food, no so good when added to food.

Wow, this was very fast shipping!! I have bought CoCo Lanka coconut core from this seller previously, to help fill my raised beds with good organic material. I mixed this in with my compost to assist with moisture retention and aeration to keep things from getting compacted. This works great! My recommendation for use is to put the block in your wheel barrow (without holes of course!) and then fill it half way with water, letting the block soak for a good 30 minutes. As the block gets saturated, you can begin to break it up and mix it with other organic matter for your beds. Excellent product, would buy again. Reputable seller.

I expected this product to be money saving and not having to deal with big bags of potting soil. I find it is remaining to wet in some of my plants and causing some of my plants root rot. It definitely was not a money saver bc I had to go and purchase more potting soil for my plants that were getting rot. I suppose it would be good for older individuals that cannot pick up a heavy bag of soil. Great environmental idea, but I give it a No, for me.

Great value for how much you get. Mixed it up with soil, worm castings, and perlite. Does great for outdoor and indoor plants. Does need to be hydrated. But doesn't take long to do.

Works very well. Good stuff doesn't seem to be off on the ph. As described.
