My kids love this bug viewer! They grab them and use them often and enjoy being able to see all around inside.

Cheaply made but the kiddo liked it!

My grandson loves this! We can capture a bug and he can watch it easily and release it later. Very fun!

These are probably better suited for older kids with better hand control. The tops (magnifier) break off easily, the threads to screw the lid on get askew easily. All proves to be frustrating for a 3 yr old. The magnifier on it is decent- great to be able to see insects a little better. For older kids it would be great - or with really close supervision.

My children have had a blast capturing all sorts of insects and amphibians in these jars! they are so clear and easy to use. the magnifying glass at the top is perfect to get up close to them! We do nature study for homeschool and these are perfect for bringing in outside insects without mom worrying about them escaping, ha! we can set them in the middle of the table while the children observe and make journal entries!

My 3.5 year old granddaughter lost the bug catcher that came with a nature kit. This was a suitable replacement and I’m told it’s more durable than the one she lost. We’ve caught spiders, ants, crickets and several other bugs in the yard and the built in magnifier lets you look at the critters closely. Very entertaining and educational.
