R255TBL+ Table Saw (Next Gen Rage 5-S) Portable Multi-Material Cutting Blade Included Cuts Wood Metal Plastic, 45˚ Bevel, +/- 60˚ Mitre Angle, 85mm Cut Depth, 1800w Motor, 240v

I’ve e been using this saw for about a month now, and can honestly say it’s fantastic for the price. Compared to other saws around the same price range (and even more expensive), it is loaded with great features. I especially like the sliding mitre sledge, and the easily adjustable fence which can quickly be removed or repositioned for wider cuts up to 650mm. I have several tips before you get started with it however. Firstly take a look online for videos from people who have used it, they are very useful and help you set it up. Once out the box and assembled “calibrate” all the settings, ie blade vertical and 45 degree alignment, riving knife alignment, fence to blade distance reading (I find the scale is correct for the narrower fence setting but not for the wider setting). Also check the height of the blade’s throat plate. I had to adjust most of these settings before use. On to things I don’t like about the saw, there aren’t many but the main one is the cover over the top of the blade, it’s made of plastic, feels flimsy and gets in the way, I removed it almost immediately and if you have the suction pipe connected to it too it only gets in the way. Next, on the R255TBL you get a 90 degree elbow for the dust exhaust port, but on this the + model you don’t, you get a twin outlet T instead designed to attach a vacuum to. I taped up the right angle outlet on this to leave the straight through outlet open then simply pushed on a 90 degree kitchen waste pipe elbow to blow the dust down into a bucket. The only other gripe is as I mentioned above, the scale for the fence distance is spot on when reading on the narrower scale, but once you switch to the wider setting it’s is about 6mm out meaning you have to keep double checking distance to blade with a tape measure. In conclusion, the saw is loaded with features you don’t even find on more expensive saws, it’s great to use and makes nice clean cuts, just set it up first.

My first table saw. Love the soft start and accuracy. A slight issue with moving the fence. It gets tight and hard to move when close to the blade. Not sure if this is intentional or a defect. It feels like the latter. Overall, I enjoy using it.

This is the fourth table saw I have owned, and I have to say all the hype is correct, set up was like cake, it was almost bang on every setting, which tells me that Evolution really care about the items they sell. The saw works perfect, and as for dust collection at the rear, amazing, ther was very little, and I mean little, saw dust after I'd been cutting with it for a while. I use this saw in my small wood shop, so dust collection is a factor for me, none of the other were even close on dust collection. All I would say, in closing, is what Evolution have done here, at this price, has raised the bar!

Great table saw, easy to set up, great results, excellent value

This is a great saw But it has flaws. If your intention is to build this onto a mobile workbench, I would suggest it's not the ideal choice. Not being able to lay hands on one and despite the information coming from evolution being scance and at times erroneous, I purchased 255tbl plus. I had to remove and discard the out fieldsupport, not needed , the handle grips on either side, the bump stops to the left.. Then came some considerable thought ast to how the bench should be modified to make the saw fit. The positives are the dust extraction is first class the best I have seen. Although the top hose could be longer for some wide sheet work. Fence works really well as does the cross cut slide. Negatives principally the noise level is extraordinarily high even when not cutting.

This is more than adequate for most home users and many businesses. I bought the stand afterwards and so glad I did. With the stand the saw is easy to move out of the way and just as easy to set up instantly! I checked all the angles and the saw is great direct from new, although the saw blade fitted is dreadful. I'm 78 and this is my 6th table saw and this is by far the most convenient & accurate results.

Very nice tool. Easily set up using a dial indicator. Slight worp in blade. Works well. Would recommend it
