Awesome
If I'd had this dip station as a kid, I wouldn't have broken my arm from enthusiastically swinging between the backs of the dining room chairs and the back of the couch like a tiny hyperactive monkey after school. Needless to say I'm an adult now (kind of) and learned my lesson well about the questionable stability of dining chairs for the sake of acrobatics back then. I bought the "Lite" Dipping Station version. Despite the listed weight capacity of up to 400lbs, I wasn't sure if this would be sturdy enough to handle my heavy body weight so I really hestitated between this one and other ones, but I've had it for about 3 months now; it's still trucking same as it did on day one. This is a good one. It doesn't adjust up/down like some stations, but instead is basically two heavy duty bars connected to the bottom parts. I think that's what makes it so solid. It's very few pieces, and a lot of good heavy soldering where they connect. I'm glad I got this one instead of the kind that might "adjust down" on me unexpectedly while I'm using it. It's weird that an item named "lite" seems better to me than one named "pro"..? but... whatever. They're completely different styles and this one's a way better design for what I wanted and was looking for. Nice and solid, no up and down adjustables relying on little pins. Just solid. The dipping bars were pretty easy to put together and came with the only tool it needed (for putting in the screws.) It was easier than putting together a metal bedframe; it took maybe 5 minutes including reading the directions; you just have to pay attention to where the holes are on the lower part (like where the connecting bar goes. between the two) Otherwise it'll take an extra minute as you flip it. The connecting bar keeps the two dipping bars from skidding on smooth flooring, so I'd recommend putting it on, especially if you're a heavier weight, even though it's not necessarily needed. It keeps the bars together so you don't have to worry about it sliding. The cushion "handles" on the station are actually comfortable. No weird smell or any "stickiness" from them although it's gotten hot this summer. I didn't know at first if I'd like them, but they're good, and so far have been very durable. Getting it has made it SO much easier for me to do a little exercise more frequently without the exhaustion of setting up anything or planning to exercise, or the pressure of doing it for a set period of time. Once it's put togther, there's nothing to adjust, prep, or set up. It's just there: you can do it as you walk from your room to whereever or back, or not, and it takes literally no extra mental or physical effort or good intentions or planning. You either do or you don't, because it's right there and on the way. Stick it in front of a doorway and it's great. It's accessible. You don't have to take it out or put it away. And it barely takes any space. (Unlike my slant bench... that doesn't quite fit the room when set up... that I have to pull out to even use, and takes up a bunch of horizontal real estate I could use.) There are some things that when you buy them, they help you with your life, and this has been one of them, so thanks, company. You did a good job, and it's appreciated. I needed it.

Very good quality for the price
I read thru a LOT of item listings and reviews before getting this product. I had it narrowed down to my Top 3. One of them did not offer any type of free shipping, so it was out. Next on the list was this one. I'm glad I ended up getting it. Only took about 15 minutes to put it all together. There's only 8 screws you need to use, and everything fit just fine. The metal seems perfectly adequate, especially since the "weakest link" will probably be one of the screws, since it too is holding your weight up. The metal tubing is plenty fat, so your hands won't hurt nearly as much as smaller diameter tubing would when doing dips. There are a lot of choices for this kind of dip bar, so it can be a bit unnerving pulling the plug and hoping you chose right. Let this review give you confidence in this unit. I'm 5'8", 190 lbs. Sure you have to bend your knees a bit, but you likely would have to on any unit, and it's only natural to do when performing dips anyway because you're looking to prevent body sway. There were no defects, no paint missing, no sharp edges. The manual is a bit too small in its pics to tell how to assemble the pieces, but you'll quickly see how it goes together and it's no biggie. Buy this unit; join me in some dips. Just be careful to not do too many the first day you get it. Dips can make you SO SORE. I just did 7, and tomorrow I'll probably do the same. And eventually work up to maybe 15 per day, 4 or 5 times per week. I divide my body up into 11 main muscle groups and only do one set per muscle group, repeating this daily, with many "miss" days scattered in either because I'm too tired or too busy. But this kind of home exercise routine where you just do a little each day and try to build consistency works pretty well for someone not trying to go overboard with working out. You might consider doing the same! Good luck to all!

Sturdy, Stable, and Useful.
Not bad. Does what it needs as advertised. The upside-down U definitely made it more stable as opposed to the dip station that I had previously bought that was in the shape of a C. I liked the easy to assemble instructions, the color, list of various exercises, its portability, and its adjustable heights. The reasons for 4 stars instead of five........1) the yellow shaped metal U came with 2 different sizes (it's very noticeable, but not an inconvenience). 2) the black cushions at the top were very flimsy so I added my own from Amazon's own packaging. 3) the black paint can be easily scratched off. All in all, I'd definitely recommend this product to any exercise nut. It's a good bargain and bang for your buck. It will save you time from driving to and from the gym. The size of it is also great for your home. With items like these, sturdiness and stability are special factors that you've to consider. This item is good for both! Enjoy and happy exercising for years to come.

Disabled standing assist: Awesome
I am disabled and use a wheelchair. I have these set up with the stability bar connecting them on one end. I can easily drive my wheelchair up to them on the other end and use them to stand. They are incredibly sturdy which I need because of my poor balance. I can easily shift my weight around to stretch my calves in different positions or change standing positions to shift my weight onto my legs in different ways. Also this standing helps my circulation. I am sure not the indented use of the equipment, but works amazing for me. I thought it was worth noting in case anyone was in the same boat. Also I believe they would be great for dips because of 1) the stability 2) the ability to adjust the angle of the bars for dips and 3) handles are incredibly thick, firm/durable but comfortable. (I try some modified dips ever now and then). Really a superb product. A very fair price for what they offer me.

Great product & happy with my purchase
These dip bars are really great after being assembled. There was a small issue during assembly though. When I unpacked the pieces I noticed that one of the tubes was bent at the end as shown in the picture which was big enough that it prevented the base piece from going inside. This wasn't a big deal for me because I was able to bend it back out with a small crowbar so I could insert the tubing for the base. Other than that there is a very minor wobble in one of the dip bars but that would be an easy fix with a spacer. I'll leave it alone for now since I don't really notice it. The bars feel very sturdy and planted when I'm using it. The foam padding on the handles is also really comfortable and helps me get a good grip. The height settings are a nice touch also. I have it set to the higher setting which feels much better than the bars at my gym which are lower. The height provides more clearance so the ground doesn't interfere when you're doing dpis. Really happy with my purchase though and I think the quality exceeds the price even with the minor issues. 2019 is the year for shredded triceps!

Good and sturdy but my grips came off-set from center
So everything seems okay. I'm on a bit of a weight loss journey (started at 320 pounds now down to 254 pounds) and have done dips at the gym before assisted but wanted to grab one of these because of everything going on with Covid. It handles my weight well and was really easy to assemble. The only thing that is bugging the absolute crap out of me is that the grips came offset. no matter which way I flip the U bars around, the grips are always offset from each other. Being a bit OCD this can get VERY annoying but its still functional. I'm a big guy, 5'11 and 254 pounds and this thing handles my weight well. Over all happy but I just wish the grips weren't assembled into the U bars so sloppily. But hey, for 50 bucks you really can't beat it.

Sturdy, good for apartments
I really like these so far. I received it with no damage or manufacturing flaws. The design is simple and easy to put together, the bars feel sturdy, and I didn't realize when I ordered, but the screws that hold the piece that joins the two bars together have quick-release pins, so you can easily change the width or disconnect the two sides. I'm excited to use my bars, I have really been wanting something to make indoor exercise more enjoyable and interesting. PS please excuse my jacked up room, I'm working on it.

Seems good so far, grips lack padding though
The frame is really well built and the adjustable stabiliser is actually really good. My only problem is that the hand grips have about 2mm of foam and it's very uncomfortable in the palms of my hands. I should imagine this can be fixed with some foam from a craft shop or even some thick clothing wrapped around the bars (pair of socks maybe?)
