Support for NVMe
I've been using the adapter with my Raspberry Pi for a while now, and it's been an excellent upgrade. The adapter's support for NVMe protocol M.2 solid-state drives initially caught my attention. Solid PCIe to M.2 Adapter, Great for Speed Boost
The media could not be loaded. I'm really happy with this Waveshare PCIe to M.2 adapter.The setup was easy despite the lack of a printed guide – their online instructions were clear.Be aware of NVMe brand compatibility limitations (likely due to the Raspberry Pi 5 itself).It's designed for 2242/2230 form factor NVMe drives, but I successfully used a 2280 with a workaround.I tested it with a WD Black SN735 Gen 4 (500GB) and an Integral INSSD256 Gen 3 (256GB). Both performed amazingly, though keep in mind Gen 4 speeds will be downgraded to Gen 3 due to RPi limitations.The adapter fits well on my custom RPi 5 case, but you might need additional brackets for a cleaner look and more secure mounting.Even without a printed guide, this adapter is great value and exceeded my expectations.Recommended!
