Extremely intense warm white light
These appear to perform as advertised. The color temperature appears to be around 2800k. At 100mA, they're already too bright to look at; at 700mA, they're blinding, although I don't have a calibrated tool to measure the output.Recommended.

Bright and consistent
Thes LED chips are bright and consistent between each other. I always check the die for imperfections at very low current. The second picture is an image at 2.3V when the LED is drawing only a couple microamp. At this low illumination it is easy to see any defect there might be. I did not see any issues in this sample of ten. Plus and minus are marked on the leads. That won't be visible after soldering. I suggest marking the minus side with a pen for easy reference. there is another - higher up on the lead but I could not see that until it was under a microscope.
