AWESOME under a BJJ gi!!!
(Updated December 2016. Update at the end of the original review.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I have been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) for 2.5 years. I am not one of those brave women who can rock just a sports-bra under my gi. (Kudos to those who are!) Up until now, I have worn a rash guard with compression shorts. I usually wear men's rash guards, because at 5' 10", women's tops are too short. The problem with men's rash guards, however, is they have the high, unflattering, neckline, and they are cut for a guy. I was thinking it would be cool if I could somehow attach my rash guard to my compression shorts to keep from constantly having to readjust/retuck it in. Then one day I was sitting at my son's wrestling match and it hit me-- SINGLET! I had no idea if women's singlets existed, but sure enough, they do! To be quite honest, I purchased this fully expecting to have to return it for one reason or another. I was SO wrong, I am in love with this singlet!!! Pros: Comfort - This is way more comfortable than the rash guard/compression shorts combo. -There is one less layer of material around your waist. Your gi pants will no longer shift your rash guard or compression shorts out of place. As if gi pants were not comfortable enough, these make them even more comfortable! -This thing stays in place! It does not shift or ride up, whatsoever. I do not have to adjust this at all during class! Fit - -The material is very forgiving and will fit multiple body types well. It is very stretchy. The material is similar to Under Armour base layers, slightly thicker than their tops, slightly thinner than their shorts. -The neckline is very modest, yet feminine. It is high enough that nothing shows. (I am a B/C cup, so I am not sure how well it will cover those with a larger bust.) -As other reviews suggested, the band around the leg holes is slightly tight, but I just give it a little stretch after I put it on, and then it does not bother me whatsoever. Cost- This singlet is cheaper than a rash guard/compression short combo. Possible Cons: -Not really a con at this point, but I do not know how well this will hold up. It has held up well in the two months I have been training with it. (I will update this review when I can better speak for its durability.) -This does not bother me, since my gi covers it up, but it might bother some. The back of this looks like the front, so the "X" of my sports bra shows quite a bit in back. It doesn't look bad, but it is not the most flattering look, either. -I have the black version, and do not have trouble with it being see through. It is just thin enough that you might have issues with other colors. I could be wrong! No-Gi? Being that this is a wrestling singlet, of course it could be worn for No-Gi. I am just not brave enough. ;o) -------------------- December 2016 Update -- I have now been training for 5.5 years. Since discovering this singlet, I wear nothing else under my gi! I do replace them every 6-9 months because they start to lose their compression fit and start showing a bit of wear in the seams. I once tried ordering a navy blue one, but it was more sheer than the black, so I have stuck with black ever since.

It's perfect!
First and foremost, a rare and wonderful note: This singlet is made in the U.S.A. I am petite, 5-foot tall, 120 lbs, wear size 8-10, and wear size 34B. I purchased a medium, not really knowing if I should have purchased a Large. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was true to size and fit me perfectly. I thought it would be too long, but it was not; it fit PERFECT in every way. On the model, the leg openings reach mid-thigh. For my height, it reaches a few inches above the knees, which I like, as it hides all the cellulite in the back of my legs. I plan to use it for swimming, as I already own a unitard Speedo swimming suit (Made in England), which had cost me $73(!) that I had purchased from amazon. FABRIC: The fabric is lightweight and will dry very quickly (82% nylon and 18% spandex). The only downside is that the leg openings have rubberized, one-inch band of elastic (rubber) mesh tape stitched inside, which, unfortunately, is slightly irritating/scratchy to the skin. I am hoping that with laundering and use, it will soften in time and no longer be scratchy. It is NOT lined. If you are bigger than a Medium and try to squeeze into it like a girdle, you can probably fit snugly into it, but be forewarned that because the unitard is not lined, your bare skin will show through the fabric, albeit, barely. Regardless what size you are, for modesty, I would recommend wearing the absolute sheerest panties you can find or sheer brief shapers (like Maidenform Self Expressions) and wear the sheerest tank top or attach a bra front to keep your nipples/breasts from showing through. I am guessing you can find nice, sheer tank tops in the lingerie department. I know it sounds like a lot of work and extra baggage, but for me, it's worth it only because it fits me like a glove. And if you like the sheer look, then you go, girl! I suspect since this unitard was made for wrestling, underwear is used as a general practice (brassiere and underpants). Since I know how to sew, I will take one of my black slips (25-50 cents from the thrift store) and cut it to make a permanent lining for the front torso. If you plan to sew anything onto the unitard, be sure to use BALLPOINT needles, which is used to sew any stretch fabric to avoid cutting the fibers of the fabric and cause a run.

Snip the leg so you can pee easier.
I wear this because I don't like bras but still have to comply with societies infringement on my autonomy. It covers my boobs and flattens my nipples enough to pass. Of the three I bought, this one dries the fastest and it even feels cooling under a shirt on hot days. Flat smooth seams around the neck and armpits, nice touch. Neckline is low enough to breathe but high enough that it doesn't show boob in awkward positions. Armpits are not tight on me. I'm 5'7", 175lbs, 41"-34"-41"...the xl fit fine but the compression of the fabric was bothersome around my belly sometimes. So I got the xxl, fits exactly the same, and there's maybe a little less compression. Slippery fabric doesn't stick to other layers. No center seam in crotch so no cameltoe and no weggie...BIG plus if you're wearing this on its own. Haven't noticed it being see through when stretched. Not padded, so you will show nip. Compression holds them down somewhat. The leg elastic is small, I cut the front half of it off, from seam to seam, and that made it fit fine while the remaining elastic stops the fabric from rolling up. Bonus is now its flexible enough that I can pull the leg over to the side to pee. You'd think they'd make womens stuff with flys for women, but I guess what can I expect in a world where modesty standards are stricter for women and are routinely placed above comfort. This'll get me through though. Hopefully the next Gen won't have to deal with this stuff. Til then, this is a pretty well made suit and top of the three I tried.

I got this wear under my leather race suit. I'm a size 14 and the XL fits comfortably. It covers everything I need it to so after the race I can just throw a pair of jeans over it.

I was impressed with the quality, material and fit, especially for the price. The material is not see through, is comfortable to lift in and is as described. My only issue is that it is a bit tight around the legs where it has the seams fitted so the legs don't roll up. Not a major issue though, I would still recommend.

Buena relación calidad-precio La talla viene un poco ajustada (revisar bien la tabla de medidas). Yo normalmente usaría chico, compre uno mediano y me queda bien . Lo usé para una competencia de halterofilia. Muy bien porque no se sube de las piernas

I thought it would be a chore to get into this but it's brilliant!
