We used this for a premarital counseling session. We thought the material was Bible based and questions took the couple deeper in preparation for marriage.

Great book for helping us get ready for marriage (again)! This book focused on what HAS to be in a marriage and what both sides need to do to be solid in our marriage and in our faith! Highly recommend

We just finished counseling a young couple before their big day. What a great book! This is the best marriage counseling book we’ve ever used for premarital counsel. It digs into what marriage is, why we have marriage, who we are and what we bring to our marriage, and how we can catch the foxes before they catch us. There were several times my husband I, married 30 years, said I wish someone would have told us this before we got married, it would have made things a lot easier. The format is easy to follow. The questions are thought provoking. This book is both practical and theologically sound. We have already recommended it to several friends and we plan to lead our small group at church through it. Highly recommend!

Such a wonderful book to go through for marriage counseling. This author covers all the important topics and we felt prepared for marriage.

My fiancé and I studied this book as part of our premarital counseling with our pastor. We each got a copy and read and answered the questions. The discussion was great! Highly recommend for any folks getting married who are looking to have a gospel centered marriage!

My wife and I bought a handful of books to work through together before we got married, we found another workbook but it became quickly obvious that it was a little too set on cultural/ worldly ideas of marriage. We also started reading The Meaning of Marriage by Tim Keller but we found that a little too heady and abstract and hard to apply in some ways. Catching Foxes, however, was a great combination of these two things with great reading material and questions to answer in each chapter that pointed us as individuals and as a couple towards Christ. We went through this book with our pre-marital counseling couple from the church and it was extremely helpful to walk through certain topics with an older and wiser couple which the book also suggests doing and gives resources for.

Highly recommend for anyone getting married very thorough and asks good questions

This book is very worth going through pre-marriage as well as later in life

There's never going be "the" pre-marital course/book that is completely extensive, but this one is a VERY good one. It's very gospel-centred, so it reminds all couples that it doesn't matter what happened or what's going on, the gospel of Christ can and will cover it if you allow Him to. The stories and examples help build realistic expectations of marriage, but also give a lot of hope. The chapters on sex were helpful and I think will help guide couples to begin to ask some very important questions.

This book is thorough and presents a true Biblucal approach to pre-marital counseling. It has lots of questions for the couple to chat about and even has three sessions for after the wedding. We would highly recommend this book!
