CableCreation 3.3FT USB C to DisplayPort Cable, USB Type C to DP Cable

Got the cable 3 months ago and had been using to connect my MacBook Air with the my LG 4k monitor. It had been working seamlessly all the time until about 3 days ago, when the monitor stopped displaying the content when connected to my Mac. Had tried using a different laptop but had the same effect. Finally, confirmed that it was a cable issue after i had used an HDMI cable to connect my Mac and monitor and the displays worked fine. Reached out to CableCreations support regarding the issue and they were prompt with their responses. Eventually, they provided a 100% cashback as it was a hardware issue on their side and they couldn't offer a replacement. Full marks to the outside sales support.

The product was working fine initially. However it stopped working after 8 months even after careful use. Edit: The cable creation team reached out to me and helped me with the refund on a fair condition to buy another same product which resolved my issue. I had a good customer support experience with cable creation team.

I purchases this cable for my Asus TUF laptop with a Type-C display out, and I am pleased to say that it works perfectly as intended. My monitor is running at 1080p 144Hz and G-Sync works as well. No complaints with the cable quality as well. The monitor flickers a couple of times when switching displays, but that could very well be a driver level issue, and nothing to worry about. A bit on the pricey side, hopefully these cables become less expensive as DisplayPort is more widely adopted.

After so much research online, I figured out that the only way to get 60Hz output out of my 15" MacBook Pro 2017 (TouchBar) is to get rid of the HDMI adapter from Apple to buy myself a new USB-C to DP Cable. Initially skeptical about buying this cable as it had no prior reviews when I checked. However, went by other reviews for this brand and ordered this item. Faster Shipping (by Amazon–thanks). Quality of cable is top-notch and the aluminum finish to the adapter has a weight to it; feels sturdy. CableCreation made no compromises in the quality department. There was an initial scare that the cable did not detect my monitor at all; after trying to plugin into the port a couple of times and a quick wiggle fixed it all up. I will let the cable do its thing for a few weeks and update here whether this is a win-win or a screw-up. As of now, 4K 60Hz just works!

Recieved the product today. Seems perfect. I ordered the short length because of my desk size; and it is giving me full 180hz at 1920x1080 resolution with HDR. So great for me with 24 months warranty to use with my MacBook.

What can you say about a cable. It is robust and functions very well on my iMac.

I tried a bunch of cables and wasted money on an expensive USB-C dock only to discover Mac doesn't support clam shell mode with docking stations and Big Sur as well as docking station causing flickering etc. Also, the fact that MAC can't run 4k displays using HDMI and only supported 30hz which is a shame and basically made my monitors useless. I almost gave up and was about to return my DELL monitors until someone suggested to go the cheaper route of using straight display port to usb-c cables. What can I say these cables are perfect and can run dual 4k displays at 60hz no problems and there is no flickering whatsoever and running like a dream. I wish I just went with this option from the beginning and my external displays are running smoothly and display is gorgeous with this cable. Highly recommend it and stay away from docking stations if you are using a MAC. My only negative with using this method as opposed to the docking station is that my workstation is messy as I have lots of wires everywhere. It is a small nuisance having cables everywhere, but everything just works and works perfect. I highly recommend this cable; it is high quality and reasonably priced. If you're on a MACbook pro and running dual 4K displays you can't get any better than this.
