Good read
Information is a little dated and not always correct (I work in this industry) but for a general education for a layman it is informative and a good introduction.

Solar PV Panel guide book
Very good book giving the basis of solar panel installations. I used this book to check the various quotations that I recieved from so called experts for a system on my house. After checking the inverter design section I found that one contractor had specified an inverter that wouldn't work and another had undersized the inverter quoted. I also found that there was a great variation in the cost of panel types quoted, with some companies quoting top prices for poor quality chinese panel systems. As a result of using this book I was able to specify my own quality system using top of the range Sharp panels with 2 Sunny boy inverters. This resulted in saving me over £2000 on the system and also, I have not ended up with a cheap and nasty nightmare system sold by a cowboy salesman. This book is invaluable for anybody considering Solar PV panels on their roof. Welldone to Ryan Mayfield for writing this book.

I find the book Not up date with the Technological. But I superpose that would be the case in this very fast world

Very informative
Best book to be read by any beginners. the calculations are simple, a touch of physics is included to understand, however it is not exhaustive.

Excellent Book. Well written.
Excellent book. A lot of very good information. Definitely not a Dummies book at all. This one was very well written. It encompasses most if not all necessary information to get you started on your Solar array installation.

A good preliminary dive into the nuts and bolts of PV design and installation
The book has answered largely all the queries I had pertaining to PV system design. A systematically written book with all the necessary details.

Gayet güzel
Oldukça ayrıntılı, bence görseli az kalmış. Özellikle mühendisler ve teknikerler için tavsiye ederim. Böyle diy projeleri bulacağınız tarzda bir kitap değil

very useful book
since I am very young, I know the black amd yellow colours are the ones that I am searching for the first when I am going somewhere they have books, wheter it is for sale or this is a library...These books are without a doubt my favorite type, you could easily go diectlyto your subject needed by looking in the chqpter index which subject you need the most... This is like always, with the For Dummies books, a great book !

This is an excellent introduction to solar power
This is an excellent introduction to solar power. It is very well written by a man that obviously knows his subject. It is lucid and yet apparently comprehensive. I have a hard time getting my head around many principles of electricity, but Mr. Mayfield gently nudges me along with illuminating analogies and precise, simple and understandable language. I have tried other books on the subject written by electrical engineers but my eyes have quickly glazed over. Although I usually pass by anything in the "Dummies" stable, this book is worth every penny and then some. Thanks to Mr. Mayfield for the considerable work that obviously went into the production of this fine technical publication.
