Hard but fun.

Great games to do, and there are a variety of puzzles to complete. There are also plenty of Sherlock Holmes references throughout the book

There are word searches, quizzes, unscrambles, logic puzzles, cryptograms, and two or so other types of puzzles. And there are lots of them. So kind of repetitive, but if you enjoy those kinds of puzzles there are plenty to keep you occupied. Glad I bought it.

Love Brain Games. This has the usual kind of puzzles with a twist of Sherlock knowledge in some. The more puzzles you do, the easier it gets!

Book was ok. I lost interest because I found the codes to be a dead end for me. I gave the book to my mom and she likes the book however she had a hard time figuring out the encryptions as well. She like I did thought that the clue about what a few letters are were in the example given. However there are no clues to give you any letters. We figured it out by looking at the first sentence of each puzzle and picking a few letters to help hint us to an alphabet. I am sure there are smarter people out there who could figure it out no problem but helpful hint each puzzle has a new alphabet or at least so far. Also you need to know your Sherlock Holmes read the books because you need to fill in phrases and if you’re not a big Sherlock reader you may find it difficult.

The pages are heavy weight and durable. The binding being spiral allows for flat laying and working on one page at a time. My daughter(13) and I enjoy the variety and level of puzzles in the book-some challenge your ability to be a detective and notice small clues to solve.

Fun book like other brain game books

Another Christmas present for my Grandson. He will love this. It looks fun.

Great variety of puzzles to do throughout this mystery book. Could be enjoyed by teens and adults.

Bought as a stocking filler.

I brought the book for my autistic nephew has it was sold as a Children's Logic puzzles book. However having one flick through it, unless you have seen or read every Sherlock book then it will be over there heads. One of the first Quizzes is to match the first line of the book to the right book. That's not really a logic puzzle is it. Quite a bit of the book can be done without knowledge of the shows or books. However should your child's exposure to Sherlock Holmes only be through the terrible BBC show starring Benedict Cumberbatch then they might find it hard. If you are going to purchase this for a child I would recommend 11+ Overall I will not be giving this as a birthday gift for my nephew it will sit on my shelf gathering dust
