Installed on a 2008 Yamaha FZ-1 replacing first gen Roadsmarts. Difficult to compare the two sets because the replaced tires were down to the wear bars and were getting old. Initially I thought turn-in had become slightly more abrupt but after getting 150 miles or so on them, trying to scrub them in gradually, that difference is gone. It could be just that I've gotten used to them but turn-in now seems very linear. Out right grip in curves is excellent! Very stable under braking and acceleration. Ride is great, very stable tires, they seem totally unruffled by tar snakes, even in curves. The originals were excellent in wet weather, but have not tried these in the rain yet. The Gen 4 has been out a while now and because of that great deals can be found on the 3s. You'll save about $200 on the pair. Highly recommended.

I have been using Roadsmart 3's for a few years now. They are an outstanding tire as far as grip and wear go. One of the best features is the grip remains the same until you get to the wear bars. They do not have quite as much "Feel" as some other tires, but they are like a steel frame roller coaster. Smooth and completely predictable once you get used to the tire's vibe. I have done many track days on them and the performance was beyond expectations. I ran a set of Roadsmart 4's and did not notice enough difference in the mileage/performance to justify the price differential. I will continue to use these until they stop producing them.

Held its shape. Handling and rain performance 8 out of ten. Mileage 9 out of ten. Price before jacked up, 10 out of ten.

This review Front Tire: Bought a used 2015 CTX Honda 700 motorcycle that needed new tires. After research, I settled on the Dunlop Road Smart 3. I bought both back and front. I noticed an immediate improvement in road handling, and turning into the curves. After riding them for 300 miles around town, I was ready to put them to the test. Full soft-sided saddlebags, Camping gear, and food an easy 100 extra lbs. I road down through Ohio to ride the "Triple Nickle" Highway 555 for early some twisty action. After that rode across the twistie West Virginia on Highway 50. Tent Camped down the gravel-maintained portion of Canaan Loop in W.V. Then across Highway 48 to ride the Shenandoah National Park Skyline drive, connecting to Blue Ridge Parkway, and ending the 1st 1/2 of the trip in Robbinsville North Carolina. I unpacked and then, it was to the Tail of the Dragon a few times, Cherohala Parkway, Smoky Mountains Foothills, Newfound Gap, and many more twisties I forget the name. It was time to head home. Then over to I-75 for a three-day over 600-mile trip back home cruising highway speeds or better. The tires performed flawlessly. Pic with (tent) was after 500 miles, other pic was after 3000+ USA highways and twisty miles on the Road Smart 3. The tires still have a lot of life left in them.
