A gorgeous, warm and joyful story from bestselling author Jenny Colgan, author of LITTLE BEACH STREET BAKERY, WELCOME TO ROSIE HOPKINS' SWEETSHOP OF DREAMS and MEET ME AT THE CUPCAKE CAFE Nina is a librarian who spends her days happily matchmaking books and people - she always knows what someone should read next. But when her beloved library closes and she's suddenly out of a job, Nina has no idea what to do next. Then an advert catches her eye: she could be the owner of a tiny little bookshop bus, driving around the Scottish highlands. Using up all her courage, and her savings, Nina makes a new start in the beautiful Scottish highlands. But real life is a bit trickier than the stories she loves - especially when she keeps having to be rescued by the grumpy-but-gorgeous farmer next door... Review: My first and favorite Jenny Colgan - My first and favorite Jenny Colgan.so funny and fun to read.great characters! Makes me want to go to Scotland! This same book is published under another name so be sure you read the reviews before you order Review: This is the Same Book as "Bookshop on the Corner" from Jenny - This book is the same as book shop on the corner-FYI. Looks like the first publisher sold to another publisher and made a title change. It happens all the time in the industry so nothing sinister about it. But wanted to make sure you all knew so you didn't do like I did and buy it twice. This book is great though FYI which is why I gave it 5 stars. You will love her whimisical stories and want all her books!

A Fun Read
You can always depend on Jenny Colgan to write a book that's fun to read and very interesting. This is a book about books, so you just know that you're going to like it. Nina is a librarian who loses her job in Birmingham due to modernization. After trying to decide what she wants to do next, she realizes that her main love is books so she decides to open a book store. Realizing that she can't really pay for a building, she comes up with a plan to buy a big van and own a bookstore on wheels. The only van that she can find that fits her needs is in the highlands of Scotland. After buying the van and not being able to get permits in her home town, she decides to stay in Scotland. While there, she meets a variety of fun characters and several potential boyfriends. I thought that this was a fun book to read -- I loved the main character and enjoyed all the problems that she had to solve to get books to the people who wanted to read. It's a great beach book and I highly recommend it.

but good for a quick summer read
This was a cute, fluffy story. Somewhat predictable, but good for a quick summer read.

Tolle Geschichte...bitte bitte Fortsetzung!!!

Goed boek, slecht verpakkingsmateriaal
Goed boek, snelle levering. Verpakkingsmateriaal onvoldoende, verschillende kreuken en kleine scheuren bij ontvangst. Sommige boeken in perfecte staat, andere precies een paar keer uit de vrachtwagen gevallen.

Perfect book for bookworms and everyone else too
For any one who loves reading and loses themself in another world every time they open a book, BUY THIS! If you are already a fan of Jenny Colgan then you will know how warm her writing style is and that each of the characters she creates becomes somebody you care about. For those who have never read one of Colgan's books then get yourself a cup of tea, a cosy blanket and prepare to whisk yourself off to another life. The plot line to this is nothing unexpected if you've read any classical romantic fiction, like Pride & Prejudice or Jane Eyre but add to it the gorgeous Scottish Highlands, Jenny Colgan's easy writing style (easy to read, I'm sure it's pretty hard to write a novel) and romantic heroine, Nina, who loves to read and encourage others to read and you have pure joy at your fingertips. I devoured this book in a day, not just because of the rather delicious sounding beer and even more tasty sounding farmer, Lennox but because I couldn't wait to find out what book would be recommended next and whether or not Nina would eventually figure out what we the reader had seen all along. This may never break literature boundaries or win a Pulizer prize but it will give you hours of enjoyment, put a smile on your face and re-invigorate your love for reading. Sorry for the long review, I'm off to re-read it and make a list of all the books I liked the sound of.

super bouquin !
j'adore jenny colgan, mais parfois un ou deux de ses livres me plaisent moins... celui-ci est parfait : le lieu, l'histoire, les personnages... rien à redire ! laissez-vous embarquer dans une histoire qui fait du bien !

tolles Buch, tolle Landschaft
Toll geschrieben. Ich mag Jenny Colgan's Geschichten sehr.
