Rather than looking at a complicated finished flower and wondering where to start, you can follow the steps and gradually build up the drawing. The layout is also really good for quickly scanning through the book and finding something you want to draw. The instructions and illustrations are clear and easy to understand at a glance, so you don’t have to spend ages reading through lots of complicated information before getting started. This makes it ideal for picking up whenever you have some spare time and want to do a little drawing practice. I also think it would be a lovely book for anyone wanting to improve their drawing skills and confidence. OMG! I can draw flowers!!!
I have never been able to draw but have always wanted to. I follow Aska Hall on social media and love her work, so decided to buy the book. The attached photo is my efforts so far - I am overjoyed with my progress and can’t wait to see what else I can create! Love the step by step, easy to follow instructions, and the opportunity to trace the flower prior to making it your own. I’d highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to draw but doesn’t know how to get started.

I can’t say enough good things about this book. As an artist who has never really been interested until recently in flowers, I stumbled across the author in social media watched some of her videos and found the link and came and bought her books. I bought two of the three I just received them, and cannot wait to get started. I have completely went through and reviewed her instructions and I find them to be concise and easy to follow. I love the idea that it’s an actual workbook. Youcan work inside of it and there is a bonus even that when you were finished, or even maybe before… you can use the QR code and actually print practice sheets. That is a super bonus!!! It’s just a nice book. Nice paper, nice instructions, beautiful flowers. What else can I say? I’m just absolutely in love and I will be buying the third one.
