Got this to cover up very long dreadlocks and it did so with no trouble. It was snug, but obvs it needs to be in order to keep the water out. Keep my hair dry and wasn't so tight that I got a headache or anything. Wore consistently for nearly 2 hours and did not interfere with snorkling gear. I will say that it took a bit of effort to put on but given the amount of hair, I can't complain. Probably might work better if you ask someone to help you put it on. :)

purchased this extra-large swim cap for my baptism, and it worked perfectly! It comfortably fit all of my long hair and stayed in place during the ceremony. The material is stretchy but not too tight, making it easy to put on and take off. I felt confident and worry-free knowing my hair was fully covered. Highly recommend for anyone needing a reliable swim cap for special occasions or swimming!

So it does fit over my hair. I don't know if it's 100% silicone. I'm allergic to latex and this makes my forehead break out in the way latex does. If you don't have sensitive skin it's great! Keeps my hair dry. Fits my loooonnnggg locs. I got an XL and it's tight on my big head. Would I buy another one? No because of the skin irritation. Would I recommend it to a friend? Probably.

This is a much better fit than the Speedo "large" swimcap. My hair is either tied back or in two braids before swimming. The cap is easy to put on, does not slip off while swimming, and keeps hair dry. Your bottom edges or around your ears may get wet, especially if you lift the cap off your ears temporarily for better hearing (just leave in place otherwise). It's a tight fit and kind of "stretches/scrunches" your forehead a bit as another reviewer mentioned. No headaches so far after a month of use a few times a week (or rips!), and tbh how your swimcap looks on your face isn't too important in a beginner swim class so long as you can see, water doesn't get in your ears, and you don't spend half the class fighting with it to stay in place.

Technically, it does the job. It allowed me to get my bulky braided hair in (imagine shoulder length box braids). And, after doing a variety of swim strokes (front, back, & breast) for about 45 mins, only the edges of my hair were damp. I wore it with the cap pulled below my ears to secure the suction (because this is suggested for the major brand extended caps). Else, I don’t believe it would have bonded/suctioned well, to prevent water from fully entering. Cons: The design of the cap introduces unexpected issues. First, once you secure the cap onto your head, it pulls your facial skin down & forward. I don’t know how good that is for your skin overtime. And, it’s makes it uncontrollable for your face, not to mention that you may look like a characture. Once you start turning your head (to breathe) for the front stroke, water begins to get in your ears and it stays (because of the cap’s design). The cap interferes with the fit of your goggles, allowing water to get into them because they can no longer fully suction to your face. Overall, it will do. However, it made for an uncomfortable swimming experience. So, I will continue looking for a more comfortable fit that prevents majority of your hair from getting wet/soaked. The inside of the cap makes me think of a kickball material, fyi.

Get the smaller size unless you have a TON of hair. My hair is curly shoulder length and speedo changed the profile so the long hair swim cap I used for years and years so it’s too small now to fit all my hair. To be on the safe side I ordered XL. I don’t have that much hair as I thought for this one, ha ha! It’s huge, so I fold it over in the middle - almost like a headscarf. If my hair was still bra strap length would be perfect. Be warned this band is really tight, have to place it just right or you’ll get a headache. Make sure it’s below your occipital lobe and not bunched up at all. Also have to push on it to get the air out after you wear it. The material is thick so I don’t think it will rip like others I’ve purchased since Speedo changed the profile of the long hair one. It keeps the water out so my hair stays dry. Easy to put on, mostly comfortable except for the band if you let it bunch in the back. Have to place it just right since it’s so tight. The style is cute. Think it will last a long time.
