Simple swap, works perfectly.
Couldn't be easier — power off, remove two screws (tool included), pull out the TB2 card, pop in this one in, put screws back in, power on.

Highly Recommend, Extends the Life of Older Rackmounts
This is a lifesaver if you have older Thunderbolt 2 rackmount Apollo’s and a newer cpu with later model Thunderbolt and USB-C ports. The apple adapter simply does not work as well, especially when you’re dealing with an interface that utilizes onboard dsp for low latency. I think it’s $100 cheaper than when I bought it about a year ago. In my case, this allowed me to daisy chain my older Apollo’s with my new Gen2 models. Highly recommended.

TB2 to TB3 upgrade with caveats.
Beware, downstream TB2 Apollo DSPs may not register on Windows devices but it saved me from TB2 cabling nonsense.

Gran actualización para tu Apollo.
Excelente opción que te permite actualizar tu Apollo en la opción tunderbolt 3 o 4. Debes tener presente conseguir un cable de alta transferencia para que soporte el nivel.

With lower price makes total sense!
It use to cost double that. At this current price, it's a not-brainer and really improves the Apollo performance. I had the firewire version, many dropouts. Since moving to the TB version, super smooth.
