Sometimes you want to add lemon flavor to food but you don't want to add more liquid or the texture of grated citrus rind. That's why I was originally introduced to this product and it works great! If you add it when a food first starts cooking, the powder just becomes part of the food and there's no grainy texture. It sounds weird, but something like fried potatoes NEED that hit of acid to truly be wonderful. Fat is flavor but acid is life. Fat and salt and starch need an acid element and almost everything you could use would add liquid and keep your potatoes from becoming crispy. If you sprinkle a pinch of this into the fat while it's heating up and stir it right before adding whatever fried or breakfast potatoes you have, I promise you won't be disappointed. I learned this from my husband who was Chef of Events at the Biltmore Estate for six years and has worked at two of the top ten restaurants in the US. Additionally, I use this lemon powder for single serving lemonade for myself a few times a week. One of the little scoops that comes in the bag, 2.5 tablespoons of sugar, and one pinch of salt with enough filtered water to fill up a 24 oz mason jar is perfect for me. That's probably more watered down than most people would like and more than what most people would call a single serving, but it works for me. I've cut way down on my sugar intake and making lemonade as a treat in a single glass keeps me from drinking too much. If I had a giant jug of lemony sugar water in the fridge it's all I would drink all day instead of water. Whenever I get the craving for a sugary drink, I make some lemonade and that tastes absolutely wonderful and solves the craving.

It is true to advertisement. Tangy goodness. It dissolves quickly and you only need half a teaspoon or less if want it lighter. The value is great for potency. It is a pantry keeper.

This powder has a fresh lemon taste, but can be a bit overpowering if not used sparingly. Though the label indicates the serving size is one scoop, stated servings by scoop will be greatly less than expected. The directions say 1 scoop is equal to the juice of one fresh lemon, when in all reality it’s probably equal to 6-8 fresh lemons, possibly more. We purchased this primarily for lemonade, to have a quick alternative to fresh lemons, and stop buying premade products with dyes and artificial ingredients. For our taste level, we add a half of a scoop to 2 quarts water, and 2/3 to 1 cup of sugar. This balances sweet with sour about right for our children’s taste. I estimate about 10-12 full scoops of product in the bag, so using this formula one would expect to get about 20-24 pitchers of lemonade @ 2 quarts each. Or 10-12 gallons using a full scoop. Personal tastes may vary resulting in more or less servings.

Love this!! I love making lemonade with ginger, and this helps reduce the time to make the lemonade and also keeps me from wasting lemons I may forget in the fridge after my batch is done. Also compliments my smoothies for a citrus taste.

I first didn’t like this powder, but now that I have used it I actually will keep it in my pantry. It’s great and so convenient to have on hand. It’s potent and packs a punch of lemon. I also use the lime…yummy

Wow! I have to admit that I’m pleasantly surprised. This makes some of the best tasting lemonade ever. I love that it’s freeze dried and I can use it when I need it versus. needing to have bottles of lemon juice. It has a wonderful fresh taste.
