Bear Electric Temp Kettle, 1.7L, 12 Presets, Keep Warm, Stainless Steel

Been using this for a week now and I’m thoroughly impressed with it. The temperature control feature works like a charm, which is brilliant if you enjoy different types of hot drinks. I use the 80°C setting for my green tea and full boiling water for a proper English Breakfast, so it gives you massive flexibility.The build quality is also top-notch for the price point. It has a proper full stainless steel interior, and the lid opens right up, providing easy access which makes cleaning it an absolute doddle.Overall, I am dead chuffed with the purchase. Obviously, I can't speak on the long-term durability just yet as it's only been a week, but it feels sturdy enough to last. Highly recommended!

I'm very pleased with this kettle. I've awarded it 5 stars because I wanted a kettle with absaloutely no plastic internally and it didn't disappoint. The internal walls are smooth stainless steel as is the internal lid. It's definitely worth having no viewing window in order to have the complete plastic free interior. You can easily open the lid to check water level as it opens very easily and has a very heavy duty looking button which looks like its built to last. My last kettle's button broke very quickly.The inside is very smooth and the lid completely opens so you have a wide opening to clean it very easily - you can easily put your whole hand it to sponge it down. The outside is matt black so no messy finger marks either. Looks very smart on the counter top.It's very easy to use. It has a digital temperature display showing the temperature increasing as the water boils. It does seem to pause at 97 and 98 for a while before it goes to 100. The total boil time was 5 mins and 42 seconds- would have been quicker if it hadn't paused for so long twice.It also has a handy keep warm function which you can set at a desired temperature. I love this feature as I can have my green tea at exactly 80 degrees!The kettle is quite lightweight. It boils quietly and is not hot to touch on the outside. It has a good base with a sturdy plug.The only negative I can think of and it's not a big deal really is that the pouring spout is quite wide - you just have to pour slowly and carefully if filling something large like a hot water bottle in order not to spill the hot water.I hadn't hear of Bear before and was a bit dubious to try it as I'd been using Russell Hobbs previously for years, but I am very glad I did buy it - I'm so much more pleased with this one.One thing to note is the price on Amazon fluctuates quite a lot. It is sometimes nearly £40 - just wait a while as it does go down quite a bit. I bought mine for just over £25 and I think that's great value for money.Edit added after longer use:Having used this kettle a while now, I have noticed that the water is actually always boiled when the kettle shows 90 degrees which at water max level takes 5 mins 24 seconds - the kettle continues to boil for 18 seconds which is quite a long time to keep boiling and a waste of energy. However, the insulation does keep the water surprisingly hot as 5 hours after boiling it and switching it off, the water was still warm (its February!) and then it only took 2 mins 12 seconds to boil.I'm still awarding it 5 stars as still obsessed with it!

I left 1 star off because theres no water level window, you have to keep taking the kettle off its stand to open and check the water level.The kettle is great otherwise, easy to use, good that you have the button to keep warm, but water does boil so hot that it stays warm in the kettle for a bit, i tend to take it off the boil way before it bleeps to end boil.Its a nice size kettle for me as a single person, at 1.7 litres its a nice size and not to heavy to hold when pouring.Its not a noisy kettle, easy lid opening.

Great kettle to start with looks smart, great keep warm function, not good with pouring, tends to spill out from sides of lid.lasted me a month! Don’t botherExcuse the floor and bin I’m in summer house which is where a working kettle should also be, showed the light on mini WiFi hub as that is plugged in to show kettle is plugged in to a working socket

The Bear Electric Kettle 1.7L 12 Temperature Control Kettle has been a great addition to our kitchen. It heats water very quickly and the temperature control (40°C–100°C) is really useful for tea and coffee.The digital display is clear and easy to read, and the keep warm function saves having to reboil the kettle if you want another drink shortly after. It also feels well made with the stainless steel interior and a good solid design.Overall, a fast, reliable and stylish kettle with features you don’t normally get on a standard kettle. Very happy with it.I have brought all variety of kettles, from cheapest of cheap to crazily expensive, but i have to say this has definitely been one of my best purchases for quality and value for money ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Received this morning. Attractive design, and I much prefer the stainless steel interior over plastic. Boils much quieter than my previous kettle on all temperatures. I used quick boil to clean, then 55 degrees to check working. All good. I had no issues with the keep warm function. You just long press the boil button to switch off if you don't wish to keep warm. At the moment happy to give 5 stars. Would review again if any issues with longevity.

It’s a good kettle over all but the power will stay on all time even after the water boiled which I’m not happy about. It’s such a waste of energy yet it’s hassle to turn the socket off every time. The lid doesn’t open wide and quite flimsy.

I bought this kettle because it was one of the few I could find that had a completely metal interior (most have plastic lids) and didn't break the bank. Have been using it for over a year now and very happy! I really like the fact you can see what temperature its boiling at. Surprised to see the rating is 4.1, surely a product as good as this should be 4.5+!
