Great value
Bought these a couple months ago and after having a lot of listening time with them, I can say they're basically a swan OS-10 upgrade, similar sound with a bunch of improvements. I love the design and the construction has held up well. Bluetooth works flawlessly, as does RCA. And these get very loud, if you own a pair of OS-10's these comparatively get about two times as loud and have the bass to shake the floor, without port chuff like the OS-10's too. Altogether I'd say if you don't need to fill a huge room or your entire house even you won't ever need these on full volume, but the option is defintely there. Would highly recommend.

Audiophile in a box (2 actually)
Bought these around 5/1/2022. Already have the Swans D1090 and Edifier S2000mkiii. Have two rooms, a 200 sq/ft office and a large living room with 20 ft ceilings. While the Edifiers sound great in the office, the D300's simply feel too powerful (if there is such a thing). But the Edifiers fail spectacularly in the living room, while the D1090's perform well in either. That was until we bought a piano which crowded the placement and caused bass resonances at mid-high volume. The D300's are indifferent to poor placement. They project a wider sound stage, deeper bass and more top-end detail than the D1090's - and do so at any volume - way more than I would care to listen to. Out of the box, the ribbon tweeters are too hot and "sharp" sounding. But they can be dialed down a db or two while still retaining excellent detail. They also have a rather high crossover at 3k. This results in a thinner low-high/upper-mid than the D1090's, sounding a bit less lush at times, while accentuating the sense of spaciousness & openness. Ultimately a 3-way system like Swans M300mkii would perform even better in the mid-range, for 50% more in price. But a 300W 2-way with ribbon tweeters and startling bass extension, bi-amped in attractive enough cabinets...?? If you want to fill a large room to audiophile standards, and can only part with around $500, then you can research this to death (highly recommended as there's some great content out there), only to conclude same as I that there's nothing even close to the D300's - save for the D1090's.

1st One Stopped Working, Replacement Pair Working Great (So Far)
They are pretty, dead simple to set up, and sound great. I loved these speakers until the remote/source indicator stopped responding suddenly one day before the warranty expired (close call). I hope the replacement process goes well since I had recycled the original packaging and have to return the old speakers in the box for the new ones. The original order was very slow to arrive. If you spring for these, hold on to the giant boxes/packaging until the warranty is up and don't expect much support from the vendor. Updated 6/12/2022 - Amazon rep sent a second pair quickly that have been working great (so far). Returning the first pair to Amazon was frustrating. Only had 2 options to return: 1) UPS pickup at my house, 2) Take heavy box to UPS Store across town during business hours. Tried having UPS pick up for 2 days but they only came during the day while I was at work. Ultimately had to be late for work one day to take to the UPS store as I was running out of time for the return window. I am a little worried that the remote will stop working at some point and I will be unable to change inputs. I could always manage volume with an external knob or the one on the back of the right speaker (awkward) but changing inputs would be impossible without a working remote. Again, the speakers sound GREAT and I love them and it is amazing to be able to get them from across the world relatively quickly for a very reasonable price. I alternate between having them at my desk (comically big for that use) and on the weekends I put them at the TV for movie nights. I really hope that the issue I had with my first pair is a rare occurrence. Update 1/15/2024 : The speakers stopped producing sound! I've tried everything I can think of and am super bummed. Not convinced that the quality control and longevity is there with Swan as I've had to return them before. These are my replacement speakers. Update 1/25/2024: After much troubleshooting, Swan support sent me another set of D300s and I paid to send back my old ones. Their customer support was helpful despite the time difference (China) and once everything is working they (once again) sound fantastic.

They sound like a portable Bluetooth speaker. So much dsp !
Over EQ-ed. Just like a boombox. Very processed, lots of compression, all boom and sizzle. Can't listen for long. Tiring personality with a big hole in the midrange. Makes most recordings sound like a parody of themselves. But they are, wicked, loud.
