Love this deck, is way better than I thought it would be

Unusual , quirky ,fun and different! It doesn’t get much better than that

There's a lot to love about this deck. The designs on the major aracana are beautiful horror movie posters from an imagined studio. Each of the minor arcana suits follows a particular visual theme related to different aspects of vintage horror media. The box itself looks like a dusty old horror tome that looks great on your shelf. Unfortunately, it's all let down by the odd design choice for the card backs. They could have been beautiful and on-theme but instead, in garish yellow and green, don't relate to the design of the rest of the deck. If they were just going to stick the repeated words "horror tarot" lazily across the back, at least do it in the blood red font on the front of the box. Some people may like it, I guess, but it's visually incoherent to my mind and pretty fugly. The specific horror designs chosen for some of the cards don't really tie in with traditional interpretations, but this deck has more of a novelty feel than that of a serious tool for readings and divination. Not bad for a £20 gift for a horror-loving friend or relative, just a shame it's not as beautiful as it could have been

So I have a disgusting number of decks. I've been reading for 20+ years and I love new and interesting decks. This is the first deck I got that almost got me angry with how good it is. How on point. How design was used to evoke the card meaning, every bit of the theming painfully on point. I loved The Pulp Tarot but I'm a horror girlie and so I jumped to grab this and see and I cannot contain my praise. This deck is masterful. It is beautiful. It is fun. It is easy to read both through amazing visuals and the use of extra text to help prompt in a way that doesn't even remotely disturb the vibe of reading from the card images themselves. And the fake movie studio and horror titles? /Chef's kiss. I love this deck. I *ran* to review this deck because it made me so excited and I immediately pinged every tarot friend I have to grab this deck. If this is your vibe, buy it. Don't dither. Don't pause. Do it. Please, Mr. Alcott, do a fantasy media deck next. Or heck, whatever crosses your mind since I have full faith it will be amazing. I will be there for it. A+ all the way. Also? I appreciate sturdy box in a reasonable size with magnetic closures. It's the little quality of life things that really make it a joy.

I honestly love this deck. Lots of fun to read, easy to understand, and good card stock. The images are amazing and I just like looking at them. Its close to being my daily use deck (RWS still claims that space, but only because I am so used to it).

Uno dei mazzi di tarocchi più belli che ho mai visto. Ci sono tantissimi personaggi famosi dei film horror classici, è molto curato e con scritte per ogni arcano. Tutti sono disegnati, anche i minori. Consigliatissimo, è diventato uno dei mazzi preferiti della mia collezione!
