If I could give 6 stars I would. Absolutely delicious chocolate milk. Extremely convenient size. Kids can take to school or on any day trips. Doesn't need refrigeration untill it's opened. Worth every penny!!

I normally drink whole milk, and rarely drink chocolate milk. Okay, that's out of the way. The good: I like that the producers are trying to market a product that is healthy and without any concerning practices or ingredients. I like that it is shelf stable and comes in 8 oz. containers. The screw tops are good because it lets you pour half a cup and put the rest in the fridge for later. The package looks nice, too. Mine came in a plain white cardboard box, not the colorful package shown in the photos. This is low fat (2.5 grams, compared to whole milk at 8 grams), so the taste is not as creamy as what I'm used to. I know some kids don't like plain milk, so parents turn to chocolate milk as being an easier sell. The problem I see with that is that it also comes with added sugar. I can see that for chocolate milk to taste good it needs some sweetener like sugar, so maybe it's justified. Whatever. For my taste buds, this is a bit thin and overly sweet. I'll try to find a child in the neighborhood and see how they like it! Shelf stable milk is high temperature processed to kill nearly all the bacteria. It's very convenient to have what we call pantry milk that doesn't have to be stored in the refrigerator, but I do find that the high temperatures alter the taste of the milk, and not for the good. So, it's handy to have these small containers that will last many months (the ones I got have seven months until their expiration date/best- by date arrives. I am glad that the producers are trying to sell healthy food. I'm not the target market for this, so the fact that it isn't to my taste may be irrelevant to the key consumer. Reading the label about how happy the cows are makes me wish I could taste this milk before it got heat treated and while it was plain, whole milk. As it is, your kids may like this just fine.

Maybe I am just out of the times, but I didn't think having liquid milk that is unrefrigerated is possible unless it was powder/dry milk... and that stuff never tastes good. Then I got this, and I'll admit I was hesitant to try it. I put it in my fridge, and even then I let it sit for probably a week until I decided to get this review done and "bite the bullet." And wow, was I wrong! This stuff tasted pretty darn great to me! Why didn't I try it sooner? So you know my background, I drink skim milk regularly, and this is also low fat milk - if you like whole or higher fat content milk, you may disagree with me but I really like this stuff. Per the milk box, the batch I got expires 3/6/25 so it arrived plenty fresh. The milk is ultra pasteurized and contains 150 calories, 26g sugar, 2.5g total fat, 8g protein, 20% calcium and vitamin A, 15% vitamin D, and 8% potassium. Blue Valley brags that their cows are free range and grass fed, and that this milk comes from cows with no added growth hormone. Maybe that is why the milk tastes so good? I certainly recommend refrigerating the milk, and shaking it before opening. The milk tastes smooth, pretty sweet but not overly so, and very chocolatey! I am lactose intolerant and my stomach usually violently disagrees with dairy lactose milk, and while it never handles this milk perfectly, it did so MUCH better with this than it has with others and I did not feel sick after drinking not just one, but two. As someone with limited fridge space I also love that these can be stored in the panty when not ready for immediate drinking. Given the prices of everything nowadays at less than ~$2/box I think it is reasonably priced and have no complaints there. Conclusion: As someone who buys chocolate milk powder and mixes it with my milk, it just cannot compare to how good this already mixed chocolate milk is. If you drink skim or 1% milk and like chocolate milk, I really don't think you could go wrong here. I would highly recommend giving this a try!

Not a bad UHT chocolate milk. It's more sweet than chocolate though. I would have preferred less sweet and more chocolate flavor but this isn't bad. While it is shelf stable, it's best enjoyed ice cold.

My kiddos loved this milk! I'm not usually a fan of shelf stable stuff, but I do appreciate being able to get my milk in the mail, and since the kids enjoyed the taste we'll have to get more for sure.

This chocolate milk is ok but it's kind of pale and it doesn't have a really strong chocolate flavor. I like my chocolate milk to have more of a deep chocolate taste. It tastes good and I like that this is grass fed milk. The cartons are very convenient and just the right size. With adding a little extra chocolate syrup it will perfect.

Are you worried your child's milk will go bad if you don't put it in a cool bag? This is the answer. This is milk, not soy or any other bean substitute. It's ultra pasteurized, and is shelf stable for about 6 months. It is better when its cold, but honestly all milk is. It tastes good, and has no unusual aftertaste. This is an easy recommendation for anyone who has kids who want to give them a great tasting chocolate milk.

We all like the flavor of this chocolate milk better than the refrigerated stuff at the store. The grass fed milk tastes better and the shelf stable containers once put in the fridge make icy cold chocolate milk oh so good. Highly recommended!
