These actually work!
The bag is a great size! The material is odd but clearly thick and strong enough not to burn and to get the job done. The key is not buying the super large slices of bread. Just buy regular bread, make your sandwich, (also can’t be super thick because it has to fit into your toaster slots) and viola! I did this with prosciutto and brie with a fig jam. It melted the cheese, the bread was toasted, the sandwich was easy to get out due to the handles on the bag, which was sturdy all around, it was super easy to clean and it was obvious I could use it several more times! I’m impressed!

I 💖 toasted cheese sandwiches
I am so excited to say this item works fantastic. I will admit my first try I put my toaster's time up a little too much, so don't get carried away with turning up the timing. The second time I knew better and it turned out perfect. Great that is also take a whole lot less time and way much trouble to do it this way.

Might not fit all toasters. Works well!
Bags are a little bit to big for my small toaster, but still works well. No need to butter when making grilled cheese, as it toast the bread just fine. Cheese melts well too. Great for toaster strudel or other frozen breakfast sandwiches as well. Feel would fit a toaster that is big enough for bagels.

Makes quick grilled cheese sandwiches
Were these originally an "As Seen On TV" item??? If so, they actually work! Grilled cheese sandwiches... no fuss, no muss, easy cleanup. Easy on the calories, too as there is no need for oil or butter to make your sandwich. Just slip your sandwich in the bag and pop in the toaster and slide out the sandwich when done... no sticking of cheese. You're also supposed to be able to put other things inside to toast... I guess if you can stuff it into a toaster, it's fair game (read the label); but I've only used it for cheese sandwiches. Now the downside... Some people may have a nice extra long slot toaster, but I don't. Some may even have those wonderful toasters that accommodate really thick bread. I don't. What I do have is your average, what I would call "cheapo" run of the mill plain old 2 banger toaster. This means that I have to fold/squish the side seams of the bag a bit as I pop it into the toaster. It also means the 2 slices of bread with cheese is just a tiny bit of a tight squeeze going into the toaster... which btw does get boatloads easier as the stiff bag softens up a bit with use. The bags are made out of something akin to those oven liners, so melted cheese doesn't stick and cleanup is a matter of a quick soapy rinse. They're sturdy and last a long time... I've probably made at LEAST 15+ sandwiches in my first bag alone and I'm sure they'd last even longer in a toaster with extra long slots since squishing the side seams a bit going in, causes a little more contact with the heating elements, browning the bag in those spots. So do I like it? Will I buy replacement bags? Yuppers on both counts! I'm a cheese-aholic and love my cheesy sandwiches without butter or (olive) oil... though I suppose you could brush a little on your bread before toasting; just not mine.

Wonderful concept, Good for Celiacs, Not very sturdy
First let me say that the idea that I can make a decent grilled cheese sandwich - in my Upright Toaster! - is pretty amazing. And you can. These really do work. The bread gets toasty, the cheese gets melty. It's pretty great. Unfortunately, they don't last very well. The most practical way to clean them (and you will need to do this pretty much every use because things leak!) is to turn them inside out and give them a good rinse and scrub. But the seams just aren't that sturdy. One of the side seams began to give way by the 3rd or 4th use. I'm nursing it along, but it won't be many more uses before it hits the trash. I will also point out that a grilled cheese is perhaps the best application of these things. I tried a cream cheese and jelly sandwich once, and the filling all melted and ran to the bottom. That's probably going to happen to anything used in quantity with a lower melting point than cheese. My actual motivation for purchase was that my daughter is celiac, which - if you know anyone with this disease - puts you in a real bind while traveling. Most gluten free bread is only edible (or at least enjoyable) when toasted. But you pop your bread in a general-use toaster at the hotel or Grandma's house and end up cross-contaminated with wheat crumbs. So you either suffer through sawdust bread, or take your life in your hands with a dirty toaster. Very frustrating! While we have yet to travel with these bags, it's clear that they Will solve the CC problem quite nicely. We'll just have to be very gentle with them, and be sure that we always use them with the same side towards the contamination. If someone manufactured these at double the price but with only a single seam on the bottom, I would buy them. Just point me to the product!

I Love these toaster bags!
I’m a terrible cook but I love making food for and feeding my boyfriend. He does so much for me so I’ve been trying to learn how to cook for him. I did learn how to make grilled cheese on a cast iron skillet I bought but it took a lot of time and just became too much for me to do on a regular basis. These amazing little toaster bags are a lifesaver! I can make us a quick lunch in minutes and feel good about it even though it’s not actually cooking. The pictured grilled sandwich was a grilled cheese with bacon and turkey, and was my first attempt with the bags. The sandwich came out perfectly! I just made my sandwich Like I normally would using a skillet, I even put butter on the bread facing outwards. These bags were also so darn easy to clean! Which is fantastic because I hate doing dishes. I just waited 5-10 minutes to make sure the bags were cooled off then ran them under some warm water and gave them a once over with a soapy sponge. Then I propped them open on my dish rack to air dry overnight. Cleaned in under a minute. So easy. If you’re on the fence about this product, just do it!!!!

Did not meet my expectations...
I was excited to get these to have a quicker/easier way to make grilled cheese sandwiches for the kids. I read through many reviews to influence my decision and these definitely did not meet my expectations. To START, you have to work a little bit in order to get two slices of bread (plus whatever is inside your sandwich) inside the pouch. The pouch itself barely fit in my toaster (which is a standard two-slice size.) After the pouched sandwich is toasted, you give the pouch a second to cool off so it's not so hot when you remove it from the toaster. Once you take the sandwich out of the bag, you realize the sandwich is more "warmed up" than toasted, so you don't end up with much/any crunch for bread. To me, you end up with a MEDIOCRE sandwich, at best. For CLEAN-UP, I took a paper towel and wiped out the inside of the pouch. The melted cheese and crumbs come right off the pouch with no work at all. I have attempted to turn the bag inside out to wash it with soap and water, but that takes just as much time as cleaning a skillet. And if I didn't wash it with soap and water, I didn't feel like it was clean enough to just put back in the cabinet (to keep bugs away, etc.) Overall, after multiple tries using them, my experience with these wasn't positive. I do NOT RECOMMEND these.

Perfect for those toaster scrambles!
I’ve been leery about cooking toaster scrambles because I didn’t want to potentially start a fire, but these contain anything that might leak out of the pastry. I’ve also toasted sourdough bread, put together ham and cheese, added mustard and mayo, and put the resulting sandwich in the bag and retoasted - yum! Just make sure your toaster has extra-wide slots! These work well and are re-usable. I wouldn’t put them in the dishwasher, I think. I recommend! I don’t know how to choose the number of stars, just because I haven’t yet reused more than 5 times.
