Great filter: no waste and fits Technivorm One Cup brewer
The cloth filters are well-made, and I appreciate the natural fibers. I actually needed filter size #1 for my Technivorm One Cup, but I could not find any reusable filter in that size. However, these #2s actually fit the Tehnivorm One Cup shape with only a small margin going over the top -- not a problem! I actually like the longer size here, to ensure that no water goes over the top of the filter (which can overflow the grounds into the filter basket and clog it). So it works really well, being longer than the basket. I am composting my used grounds, so I feel good that I'm producing zero waste with these filters! Tip for users that have septic systems and need to avoid grounds going down the drain: after dumping the grounds (trash or compost), rinse the filter over a medium-sized fine mesh strainer in the sink after each brew.

Best filter! Easy to clean!
Best filter ever! I was having issues with the paper filters breaking and was fed up with wasting paper. I compost my coffee and now I have an amazing organic filter from Canada! Thank you for a wonderful product and sorry for our orange leader. 🇨🇦

Best reusable filter I've found!
I almost never take the time to leave reviews, but chemex coffee aficionados need to know how well this filter works. I've used the Chemex system for years, and tried every filter option I could find. This beats them all. Flavor? None imparted or removed, as far as I can tell. The coffee flavor comes through beautifully. (I gravitate towards espresso roast and use little water to replicate "strong americanos", with nothing added.) Functionality? SO outstanding. Perfect water flow rate through the coffee and filter. Cleaning? So easy. Shake out the grounds, rinse and hand-squeeze dry the filter, place back in chemex. Maintenance? This is where it REALLY shines. Doesn't clog like the metal filters, especially if your pour boiling water through it - just as if you are making coffee, but without the coffee - once or twice a week to clean the coffee oil residue from the fibers. Overall, an eco-friendly, inexpensive and superb chemex filter. Will never go back to disposable paper filters or the two, clogged metal ones that sit in the cupboard. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Says what it does, does what it says!
if you're looking for a re-usable filter this is a good one. not as convenient to toss the entire paper filter and grounds out at once but that's the point, right? Easy to place in the chemex, works the same as a paper filter, tastes the same as far as I can tell, too. The only thing I notice is if the pinyon filter doesn't form a complete seal around the glass, air bubbles can gurgle and filter up and out the sides a little bit, kinda like gas escaping. easy enough to re-adjust and smooth out after wetting the filter. Otherwise, great product for a pour over and the environment.

Excellent reusable coffee filter. Works perfectly in Black & Decker 5 Cup Coffee Maker
Ordered this coffee filter and have been using it daily for about one week. So far, it's working just as I was hoping. It fits perfectly in our Black & Decker 5 Cup Coffee Maker, even though it's marketed as being for a 2 to 4 cup coffee maker. We haven't noticed any problem with the flavor or quality of the coffee. Super easy to use, and seems well constructed. Plus it feels good knowing we are using something more sustainable than disposable filters; this will pay for itself before too long because we are no longer having to buy and re-buy disposable ones. My only remotely negative comment is that it's slightly tricky to clean, particularly when it comes to the "pockets" (see 2nd picture). Coffee grinds can get stuck in these pockets and it requires a little extra time/effort to get them out entirely. What I found is that if I turn the filter inside out, such that the pockets are on the outside surface instead of the interior surface, this avoids the problem altogether. It has worked just as well even when it's flipped inside out -- plus it prevents the tiny coffee granules from getting stuck. :) Would definitely purchase from this company again!

Wondering How Many Trees I Could Have Saved
We use 3 #2 paper filters each day; been composting the grounds for a long time. Just imagine how many paper filters we’ve thrown away. I went to the store the other day and noticed that the 100 pack of #2 paper coffee filters were $4.78 w/tax for the unbleached ones. What? Now add this to the rising cost of coffee. So, I did a little Googling and found these. Reading the multitude of very positive reviews prompted me to purchase one. As per the instructions, I boiled it before the first use. The coffee produced in my pour-over was excellent. Here’s what I gleaned from the reviews, plus some of my own observations: • Turning the filter inside-out is a grand idea. • If you compost, the rubbing the paper filter between thumb and fingers routine works on this filter just as well on this cloth filter • If you use a drain screen in your sink, you’ll easily capture the grounds to throw in the trash • Rinsing and drying are no biggie If the small amount of labor involved is not acceptable, consider a Keurig. If I had just one wish, it would be that I had discovered this filter years ago! O Canada, I thank you!

Great filter
Great filter. I got the #2 & it fits my Melita cone filter perfectly. Using this filter, I get a much fuller taste than with regular paper filters. There's a little more work involved with this re-usable filter, but the savings and getting a better tasting cup of coffee more than make the effort worth it. Not certain how long this filter will last, but it's very sturdy so hoping it lasts for many, many cups of coffee. *Update - After using this nice little filter for a few weeks, it's evident that there is no practical way to remove the used grinds. I tried scrapping them out into my compost bin, but you can only get a certain percentage out without using a stream of water to remove the rest. This kind of defeats the purpose of having a green alternative to paper filters. I tried the suggestion of letting the grinds dry before removing them, but they never fully dry, unless you leave them for a few days, which isn't practical. So I'll use this filter occasionally, but unless someone can suggest a better way of removing the used grinds these filters solve one issue (excess paper use) while creating a different issue (excess water use).

Great filters, but quality control issues
I love my size #2s that I previously ordered, so I ordered some more #2s. What I received were way bigger, seems like size #4, but the package was mislabeled as size #2s. I may order again but not sure if I will get more mislabeled items of the wrong size... Bummed, coz otherwise I LOVE THESE and would recommend them to anyone. They are by far the best reusable / earth-friendly coffee filters we have tried. Way better than metal (which clogged solid over ~6months with no way to clean it), much less wasteful than boxes of paper filters.
