I have tested about 3 other gimbals for my Android Galaxy S8 Plus and this one turned out to be the best. It has super battery life. Very well built with great material. The grip is awesome and very easy to hold onto. I was able to pick up the mechanics and operation of this gimbal in a very short time (watched YouTube videos). With my phone it was a little left heavy, but Amazon sells counter weights (by YILIWIT) that I bought at the same time and they work great to balance the phone. Now for the one flaw/change I would like to see. When you balance your phone you can extend the arms for this process. No big deal. But when you put it back into the really nice zippered case it no longer fits. You have to collapse the arms again to make it fit. We are only talking about a few inches, so why not make the case a little larger so you can keep the balance set and not have to re balance it each time. Freevision, you can send me a new redesigned case if you like this suggestion. Love this gimbal. Thank Freevision

The Freevision Vilta is as good as they say about quality and durability feel. Although this product is well built, there was issues with the phone detection and it operates when it wants. At 60% battery charge it took about 4hrs to complete full charge. The programs within the app worked properly until I tried using the time lapse and it would not operate. Hopefully no one else has to carry a useless gimbal all day.

I purchased the Vilta-M gimbal via Amazon on October 11, 2019. It was delivered to me on Oct 14th. I used it for the first time on November 2 (and got some very nice skiing videos). Then topped up the charge and stored it back in its case. Yesterday (Dec 1), I took it out for taking to my next ski trip, but while putting the phone in, found problems with the mechanism used to balance the phone - The dial (“balance adjustment knob”) for locking/unlocking the slider (“adjustment arm”) would not screw or unscrew at all. - The slider adjustment arm is moving freely (and since the adjustment knob is stuck, no way to tighten the slider arm in place after balancing the phone) - The glue for the flap covering the inside of the slider arm has failed, causing the flap to come off from one side. (picture attached) I can probably glue the flap back myself, but any attempts on my part to figure out why the balance adjustment knob is not moving would probably void the product warranty. I can also use rubber-bands to keep the adjustment-arm in position once its balanced, but that’s hardly a desired solution. The gimbal worked great (during the first trip), but it should not be failing on just the second day of operation. At least, if it had failed on the first day of operation, I would at least have had the chance to return it back to Amazon. That return window is now closed. So as you can guess, I am not very happy about the situation. I have contacted FreeVision's cust service. I will update the review, the revise the rating (upwards or downwards) based on how that experience goes.... Edit [Dec 5] : Cust svc was helpful. But given how the very first comment from CS was that the dial has "become locked", and to twist the dial as hard as possible, I suspect it is somewhat of a common issue. I finally had to wrap the knob in a piece of cloth and use a pair of pliers to get the knob moving. No way I would apply so much force any piece of electronics under normal circumstances... LOL, but the CS told me to "rest assured, it wouldn't break", further leading me to think that he knew exactly how much force would would be required, and that I wasn't the first person to face this issue.

I ordered the Vilta on 9/28/18 and it was delivered on 10/8/2018. I unboxed on 11/13/18 charged and then watched the YouTube videos and reviews to get familiar with the various modes and the FV Share app. Thirty minutes into my first use on 11/14/18 the joystick button broke. Up to that point, the gimbal and app were awesome. The flexibility of the various modes, the comfortable grip, reliable app and the stable video I had shot had me convinced I had made the right decision to purchase this gimbal. However, I have to say that the build quality does not warrant purchasing this product. I do hope that the build quality is addressed because the gimbal has potential, especially at this price point. Do lots of research and make an informed decision before you purchase.

This stabilizer in my opinion is the absolute best. I have tried the SPG by Feiyutech and Smove Pro...both of which were made of good materials but total pieces of junk. I almost didn't buy this item because of how poor the previous two items performed. Not only that but they had poor customer support. Now on to the Vilta-m. This device is well built, the joystick is quite useful and provides good control. 3 modes are easily accessible through use of the trigger. The device can do 330 degree panoramic photos, 3x3 3x5 and motion timelapses. The app is pretty good, battery drain on your device is a little high (as with others, likely to be fixed some day with an update). All options are accessible through the app with regards to optimising the device. Calibration is super simple as per the instructions provided. Battery life is fantastic, I never ran out of battery on my trip and I put some serious time in with this device. I am throughly impressed with this device and have no complaints. I would recommend this device to anyone in the market.

I bought this thing in November. It took about one month to start having problems. It worked great out the box. It was fast and stable and has a great battery life. Now it can’t even balance my phone right. It’s being very temperamental, acting like it has a mind of its own. I’ve contacted Free Vision and they haven’t even responded after a week. Not a good sign... I might just have to scrap this and buy a DJI

El aparato funciona bien, pero los materiales son de mala calidad. Solo lo he usado una vez y paso los siguientes; se rompió la palanca a la mitad y se desprendió una sección del brazo sujetador. Muy mal servicio de soporte técnico, no cubren garantía ya que saldría más caro enviar el producto a China para que lo reparen.

For fast event shooting with a phone this is pretty incredible. I actually got a couple of adapters for actions cameras that works very well with this gimbal. This product is feature packed with goodies. Size is perfect, bag very nice, battery life great, functions... just a ton of those, easy to balance even bigger phones and superb handle and ergonomics. The app is amazing quality ... pro level app. There might be one gimbal that is better than this one in terms of stability but it is basically double the price and considerably bulkier. It is pretty impressive but you are going to see huge price fluctuations so if you want one you'll need to keep an eye out.

Update: I have since returned this device. The motors were making noise, it no longer worked properly and with basically no use the control button broke off. I purchased the DJI Osmo Mobile 3 and so far love it. I’ve had it two days. Pretty easy to set up. Easy to navigate, the app is well laid out, the controls work well. The reason for 3 stars is because of how poorly it does in wind. The phone becomes a sail and even with just a light wind the motor could not keep the shot steady. Mine is also constantly going into sleep mode. Every time I stop recording it puts itself into sleep mode. Very annoying! I’m considering returning it.
