The Gulrear Portable AC Window Vent Kit saved me from my DIY window “solution” (a.k.a. duct tape, cardboard, and desperation). This kit is like the superhero my portable AC didn’t know it needed. With adjustable slide plates and a 5.0” hose adapter, it fit my sliding window perfectly—no sweat, literally. Setup was so easy, I didn’t even need to Google it. The snug seal keeps the cold air in and the bugs out, so I can now enjoy Arctic-level coolness without an army of mosquitoes joining the party. Plus, it looks way better than my old “box of shame” setup. If you’re tired of janky window hacks, this vent kit will make you feel like an AC pro. Bonus: No judgment from the neighbors anymore!

Pro: Fit my window horizontally, and it worked beautifully once I figured out how to put the extension piece together. For my window, no cutting was required! Con: Putting it together seemed simple enough, but the instructions were lacking in some specificity. For example, in which direction the pieces should be applied. Also, I would have liked the exhaust hose cutout hole to be closer to the center. I only used one of the extensions and it's exhausting a smidge into my window panel. Nonetheless, none of the cons are a deal breaker, and I recommend that you get it!

I purchased a used portable AC on Craigslist. One thing that wasn't included was the window kit. This window kit is perfect for setting up my AC. It's easy to install and fit my window w/o any extra adjustments. I highly recommend it for anyone who is considering buying a used AC and needs the window kit.

Foam is stuck to sides so it’s not adjustable when you need to remove from the window.
