I decided to put up cool white lites all around my roof and leave the lights up all year. These timers are easy to use, have functioned well, and keep my lights on for the set time. I love the dusk to dawn for some lights, but appreciate the timer of on at dusk and off in two hours for the lights near my bedroom.

After trying on my Christmas lights with no luck, i read the fine print that these do not function when connected to extension cords. I have main runs out to my yard and wanted these for some items and others to come on and off with mechanical timers. These do work when connected directly to the outlet. I hated to pull a star because it didn't meet my needs, just wish i knew the extension cord limitation.

These are working great, been using for around 3 months now, instead of leaving lights on 24/7. Using to power on multiple industrial string lights and needed the dual outlet. Super easy to setup the timing with the large easy to read dial. Turns on at dusk then off with your setting. Only minus is the outlets are close together. I tried plugging in some fountain lights but the plug was to large to fit with other cord, I will need to add a short extension cord to power those.

I bought these for Christmas lights and could not be more pleased. They are not too big so easily hidden, they are durable because I used them outside in the rain and snow. Easy to understand what each function does and the sensor is spot on. Great value for the price, will be buying more for Halloween this year!

I've been through several sets of these with the overwhelming majority being defective. The units will turn the lights on, but will not shut them off regardless of which setting you use. I noticed that the only ones that work have solid clicks between settings in the dial. If the clicks are soft, the timer is guaranteed to not work. BN Link has good indoor plugs, remotes and timers, but these outdoor timers are as bad as I have seen from any manufacturer. With a failure rate of greater than 70%, I will never buy these again.

I bought these to control halloween and christmas decorations. Technically, these are just an overglorified clock turning on/off a switch so they are not as energy efficient as one of those modern digital timers but I trust these to work and last a long time as I grew up with grandparents that would use the original version of these devices to control lamps while they would go out of town on vacation. They work well and since they have two outlets they are easy to use.

I wanted to use this one to control Christmas lights at our front door. The dusk to dawn makes it easy for on/off. At first it did not turn on as expected at night. Apparently the front door light out side was enough to keep it in day time mode, ie off. I put a finger over the sensor and 10-20 secs later it turned on. So I ended up tugging the sensor behind a plant and that took the direct light and now it turns on and off as expected. I have only had it for a week and do not know how it handles the Minnesota winter.
