All the elements of a great story were there for discussion and learning. The extra facts were interesting as well. In addition, I have sent numerous books to the children and grandchildren of my friends and family for Christmas. Honestly, I think the adults have enjoyed reading the story as much as the little ones have enjoyed hearing it. I am hoping Kathy has another story in the making for us!

My new favorite children's book
I've bought 3 of these books - for my grandchildren, and one for myself. I love the photographs and the simple story that shares the beauty of nature in a way that "children" of all ages would enjoy. I love butterflies, birds, cats, and nature in general, and this book has it all. I highly recommend this book and the other two Chippy Chipmunk books.

Wonderful wildlife photography and story
The Chippy series is wonderful. Photos capture daily life and the stories are fantastic. We have two in the series and both are signed by Kathy Miller, that is a nice touch for sure!

delightful book for all ages!
this is a delightful book of nature photographs and text that will please all ages -- and is a perfect gift for children. Kathy is a superb nature photographer with a good eye, and the patience to sit for hours with a camera in her hand, waiting for the perfect m moment! She has captured the life of a little chipmunk who inhabits her garden, and the other creatures that wander by. The story teaches and delights.
