Amazing Battery charger
I always used to buy regular batteries but after switching to this it is a lifesaver. I have a lot of lights in my home which work on batteries and this just saved me from throwing a lot of batteries to waste. Pros: 1. Charges battery fast, as 2 batteries will charge in 30 minutes or so 2. Got 2 USB ports which come in handy when charging things like AirPods, a rechargeable lint remover, etc which come with just a USB cable 3. Budget-friendly 4. Easy to use 5. Supports both AA and AAA batteries 6. No need for batteries to be kept in an order or combination, convenient 7. No issues if you keep the battery in charger after it is charged, tension-free Cons: 1. Charging many batteries at once will make it slow. Example: Charging 10 batteries at once could take approximately 3 hours to complete Tip: If you have multiple lights with batteries, then instead of charging them together do them separately so it takes only 30 minutes to charge. Keep maybe 2 to 3 batteries extra so you don't have to wait for the batteries to get charged.

A great battery charger.
This Upgraded EBL battery charger is a big improvement on its previous model, (and that was a good charger), as it can charge both NiMH, and NiCD batteries, and has incorporated within the charger 2 USB A ports for additional device charging. Straightforward to use, and a very lightweight but efficient battery charger, this charger charges the rechargeable batteries in pretty quick time. The size of this charger is large enough to charge either 8 x AAA or 8 x AA batteries, or a combination of both, and you don't need to charge them in pairs, as you can charge a single battery at a time. Instead of the USB C type port for its mains power, this upgraded charger comes complete with a 240v standard 3 pin plug, and has a connector which resembles a portable radio's mains connector plug which just pushes into the top of the battery charger. All in all, a worthwhile charger for charging multi batteries without having to charge a maximum of 4 at a time, as some other types of chargers have.

Good Batteries, shame about the storage.
I have two sets of these. The batteries and charger work fine. The first lot had a great holder for the batteries, the second set has a plastic holder that is rubbish. Not enough to worry most people, but loses a star. Any time I knock or move the holders the batteries fall out.

Needed multi battery type charger
This is the brand the office I volunteer in use and since they have been so reliable up to now I decided to get some for myself at home. As I needed a multi type charger for a fairly high Mah battery, this charger seemed good value especially as thy came with 8 AA batteries for me to use. I haven’t tried the charger itself as yet as the batteries supplied were already charged. But so far they have lasted well.

EBL 8 battery charger
This charger is very convenient to use, charges 8 batteries in one go and charges them rapidly. However during first use, one AA battery fully charged but the charger failed to reduce the charge to a trickle as is intended. As a consequence the battery expanded and the section of the charger holding the battery overheated, causing the plastic base of the charging segment to heat and buckle. The charger light for that segment is now permanently flashing and presumably faulty. Clearly the circuit intended to detect a faulty battery (I assume that is the basic cause) failed to work and allowed the full charge to continue. Whilst the rapid charging is an advantage it may damage batteries. I will be wary of purchasing a rapid charger in future. EDIT: Following the above review EBL contacted me and have offered a full refund. 5* for their customer awareness. In view of this I will continue to purchase from EBL - nice to have suppliers support their products. UPDATE: The above "EDIT" entry was not done by me and is technically incorrect!! However following the critical review the company immediately sent me a replacement charger unit. The company clearly supports its products and for this reason should be supported. That said it is a concern that a review can be amended without the buyers consent. Amazon should investigate.
