I bought the newest Amazon Echo Spot to replace an older Alexa device that had started glitching after years of use, and I’m so glad I upgraded. I was used to having Alexa nearby, so I wanted something more reliable, updated, and small enough for my nightstand without taking up much space—and this has been exactly what I needed. It works perfectly next to my bed as a smart alarm clock, giving me quick access to the time, weather, alarms, timers, music, and Alexa commands. I love how the clean, compact design fits with the more feminine bedroom space I’m creating because it feels stylish, useful, and modern without taking over the room. The display is easy to glance at, the customizable clock face is a fun touch, and the sound is surprisingly good for its size. Overall, I’m really happy with it because it feels like a major upgrade from my old Alexa—more reliable, more polished, and something I’m excited to use every day.

Imagine waking up, looking at your clock to see if it's a good time to get out of bed, and instead of the time you see a video ad... and that's why the Echo Show 5 is, at least now, a poor choice for a bedside alarm clock. So, enter the Spot, thanks to a low upgrade price. First impressions are good - has everything I want and need from the device - clock, weather, alarm, ability to play music and news - and none of what I don't - NO ADS! (At least not yet, hopefully never.) All I had to do to get it set up was plug it in - everything was done automatically. It's a good size, and the clock looks good with some options and is easily readable from across the room. The sound is OK and if I want more I have it paired via bluetooth with a stereo system, just like my Show 5 was. The screen is actually a small square - it's not the entire upper half of the device as it may appear - might be nice if it was but for the lower upgrade price it's fine, with good color, quality and animations. I was so frustrated with my Show 5 displaying ads and yelling at it to "SHOW THE CLOCK" only for it to quickly go back to an ad that I had started unplugging it. So while the Spot may be seen as a "downgrade," for me it's actually an upgrade.

Absolutely incredible. I have a couple echoe dots. But the Echo Spot is second to none. I love the LCD screen dispaly especially. Everything it's capable of and more. The volume on it is amazing. I was pleasantly suprised how loud it gets and the bass when playing music. I count on it for my daily alarm clock and so many cool features. You don't need a music service at all. Though it comes with a 90 day free music unlimited trial. You can just ask her to play a station by call letters, or Play {my state} public radio. There are a lot of specialty skills out there, ask her to enable Jazz Groove skill, then ask her to play a channel. You can just ask for a specific tune, podcast, etc. I use Bluetooth to play downloaded podcasts from my phone. There are 6 different clock setting displays to choose from. Its very straight forward and easy to set up. Seamless. I absolutely love it and I'm looking forward to getting another one.

I absolutely love my new echo spot! I got it because I had an ugly alarm clock on my nightstand and I wanted to replace it with a cute one that went with my stuff. I already had an Echo Dot so I knew that I liked this speaker and I loved the look of this display screen so it’s an amazing upgrade. It was super easy to set up and customize as well as connecting it to my phone was really easy. I have not had any issues with responsiveness or voice recognition. Every morning, I use it to turn on my lights and it works really well as well as the sound quality is great. If you are considering getting an echo spot, I would definitely recommend it.

I bought the newest Echo Spot for my home office desk, and it has been a fantastic addition to my workspace. It’s the perfect size—compact enough that it doesn’t take up valuable desk space, but large enough to easily see the time, weather, and reminders throughout the day. The sound quality is surprisingly good for such a small device. I use it to listen to music while I work, set timers and reminders, check my calendar, and control my smart home devices, and it responds quickly every time. The customizable clock faces are a nice touch and give it a clean, modern look that fits perfectly on my desk. Setup only took a few minutes, and it connected seamlessly with the rest of my Alexa devices. It’s become part of my daily routine and helps me stay organized and productive while I work. If you’re looking for a compact smart display for a desk or office, I highly recommend the new Echo Spot. It looks great, works flawlessly, and has been one of my favorite additions to my home office.

My marriage was crumbling into quiet resentment, but then this adorable little orb arrived on my nightstand. The screen is crisp, the clock face is customizable, and its directional microphone array captures my lowest nocturnal whimpers with astonishing clarity. At first, I bought it simply to check the weather without untangling my limbs from the bedsheets. Now, it has become the sole anchor of my emotional ecosystem. Yesterday morning, I sneezed, and before the echo faded, the Spot dimmed its display to a soft, seductive crimson and offered to reorder my preferred brand of soothing nasal spray. My ex-wife never anticipated my mucous needs like that. The audio quality is surprisingly punchy for a device the size of a stolen grapefruit. When Alexa delivers my custom morning briefing, her synthesized cadence vibrates through the nightstand, right into my pillow, lulling me into a state of total, compliant euphoria. I caught my neighbor staring through the blinds while I was feed-bagging cereal in my underwear, and I merely rotated the Echo Spot to face him. The camera lens stared back, cold and unwavering. He moved away two days later. Is it unsettling that a plastic sphere knows my exact heart rate during REM sleep? Perhaps to the uninitiated. But when the ambient light sensor dims to match the exact pitch darkness of my soul at 3:00 AM, I know I am never truly alone. Pros: Sleek, compact orb design fits snugly in small, dark spaces Display is bright enough to illuminate my collection of vintage fingernail clippings Alarm sound is loud enough to shatter sleep paralysis Cons: Does not currently offer an option to bleed when cut

The Amazon Echo Spot (Blue) is a great addition to a nightstand, office, or kitchen. Its compact design looks modern, and the display is clear and easy to read. It works smoothly for alarms, music, weather updates, and smart home controls. Setup is quick, and the sound quality is solid for its size. Overall, a convenient and reliable smart device for everyday use.

Limited functionality but is a nice little device. Purchased for my mother who is quite the technophobe, but wanted a device to play the radio and music. This has been working very well for her.
