Not a paperback version, nor a Kindle one but an inpractical proprietary OUP service

I was initially looking for a Kindle version that I could easily access from my iPad. I then resorted to this version at it says "paperback" in the product description. However, the only thing I got in return was a serial number in the mail that gives me access to an online copy on an OUP website which is barely usable on iPad (browser only).I will review the content at a later date.
