It is very handy and I like it, but if there’s a better way to keep the water from dripping out on the back that would be preferred

Almost a great item to have, however the float will not stay at adjusted location. The small adjustment screw allows you to set the float but water waves from swimming will push the float up. I have been struggling to find a way to lock it into position but it doesn't have a locking screw.

The materials are of high quality and durable, and the operation is smooth. What an outstanding product! The effect is fantastic! This is the best pool level indicator on the market. When the pool reaches a certain water level, it will automatically shut off, saving time and effort and is very practical.

This works, and it's fairly easy to set up, but I'm not thrilled with it. First of all, it's basically a $10 toilet tank filler inside of a plastic housing. I really think this should be closer to $25 or $30, not more than $55. It also fills about as fast as a toilet tank filler, which is to say that it takes hours to add an inch to my pool, versus 30 minutes with just the same hose running into the pool. Another annoyance is the setup. It's easy - but only if you happen to have a bag of rocks handy. I had to go to big orange to buy a bag, which adds to the cost of this thing. Additionally, once you add the rocks, you'll find that you can't put the lid on, because it has 4 long prongs that have to go THROUGH the rocks and clip into the bottom of the main plastic piece. I bought marble chips, which made that impossible. Off to the store again to buy river rock. This would be worth the money and 5 stars only IF - => The base was weighted, and I didn't have to go buy a dad-gum bag of river rocks. => When the float drops, water actually came out full force, instead of trickling like a peeing Chihuahua. => The top snapped on without having to go through rocks. => It had an actual warranty of one to five years. As is, you've only got the Amazon 30 day warranty. I mean, it works, but just barely. If I had to do it again, I'd look elsewhere. I hope this helps.
