Rock-solid, secure, and completely trustworthy
These Hercules GS414BPLUS Auto Grip System guitar stands are simply outstanding. The build quality is rock solid, and the auto-grip mechanism works flawlessly — the guitar locks in securely the moment you place it on the stand. I keep two of these either side of my TV, and I trust them completely. They’re stable, solid, and inspire real confidence when holding valuable instruments. There’s a reason you see Hercules stands everywhere — they’re genuinely fantastic. If you value your guitars and want a stand you never have to worry about, this is absolutely the one to get. Nothing else comes close.

Excellent Guitar Stand
Hercules is a great brand in terms of guitar stands and wall hangers. I really like the quality of this stand. It is extremely sturdy and the holder is very secure. I have used this brand for over 10 years and I have never had any issues with the quality of a Hercules product or damage to any of the finishes of my guitars (Nitro or Poly). I highly recommend this stand. The size and adjustable height allows for a diverse range of instruments and I feel the overall value regarding price is well worth it.

Best guitar stand I've ever used - securely holds my electric and bass guitar.
With small kids in the house, my biggest concern with standard guitar stands is that they'll knock the guitar out of the stand. This stand holds the guitar securely by the headstock such that I know they're not going to knock it over sideways with their strumming, and the feet are positioned such that it would be difficult to accidentally knock it over forward - you'd really have to try. It's expensive compared to a basic stand, but the added protection it offers is worth it - the stand is much cheaper than repairing a damaged guitar. Putting the guitar in and out is effortlessly easy - you just grab the neck and pick it up or set it down, and the stand grips and releases as it should. I don't know why the description says "Acoustic" as this works just fine with electric, and in fact I have mine set such that I can use it with either my guitar or my bass. This is the upgraded model of the standard Hecrules GS414B stand, with support for narrower necked instruments, a more robust height adjustment mechanism, and larger and more stable feet. Thus far, it hasn't had any of the issues that plagued some of the original 414 stands. I like this stand so much that I bought a second one.

Great Guitar Stand That Holds Your Guitar
I've had a GS415 stand since around 2010 & it's still working well! Basically, the same as the 414 except for the yoke (no joke 🙄). I have 5 acoustics over $1,000 & quite a few electrics too. I have never had any problems using these Hercules stands & really appreciate the ease with placing & removing the guitars. I have 3 guitar stands now, 2 Hercules & 1 Fender. The Hercules stands are well worth the money & are built to last a lifetime. An excellent purchase!

BUY THIS! You won’t regret it! …if you’re a real musician
Perfect Gift for the Rockstar in your life! This guitar/ bass stand is the Cadillac of all guitar stands. There is nothing better or more Macho than owning a Hercules. I know this because I am really smart. Space saving, portable, easy to assemble, built like a tank and super sexy. It’s a guitar stand with big muscles. When you need to put your guitar down to go potty or sign a few autographs, Feel Safe knowing Hercules is holding and protecting your instrument. No more leaning your guitar on the couch or a dirty litter box. If you Love your instrument, you probably already own a protective case, right? Why not upgrade your stand to a Hercules? Nowadays, I don’t leave home without my Hercules. He really doesn’t take up much room at all. No one, not even the police can even tell that I stuff him in the trunk. Buy it! You will thank me later. Rock on!

Great, sturdy product
I bought this in 2025 when it cost $50. It is a great, strong, sturdy stand, far better than any of the others (1 $20 wal mount that broke after a month, 1 padded wire base) i hve used. I think $50 might be a bit high, (35-45 being more reasonable) but it is serv ing me well. no signs of weakening. Also, the guard jaw is very secure and responsive.

This is what you need if you own a nice guitar!
Acoustic and classical guitars can stay in their cases, but the cases should be kept open so the instrument can "breathe" the ambient air. A better alternative is to put the case away in a closet or under the bed, and buy one of these. Don't buy a cheap guitar stand. Get something solid, durable, and well-constructed, like this. The biggest problem that you will have to deal with in keeping an expensive guitar is humidity. Yes, you can lock your guitar away in its case and try to control the humidity in the case, but a far better approach is to have a small practice room where you keep your gear, and keep its humidity between 40-60 percent at all times. Buy a digital humidity meter and a small room humidifier (evaporative, not ultrasonic). That way, your instrument can breathe, and you can admire the instrument whenever you come into the room, and easily pick it up and play it. I was given this information from a gifted luthier who knows what he's talking about. He said that every year he gets guitars in his shop to repair that (like mine) had a cracked top due to no humidity control, and other guitars coming in where the owner has used various products that attempt to control the humidity of the case by using pouches or such, which leak open and spread their contents into the insides of the instrument. And do NOT use the sponge method, whatever you do. There are people who say you should put a damp sponge into a baggy with holes and dangle it from the sound-hole, keeping the case closed. I did that for a while. The result is excessive humidity collecting in the back of the guitar opposite the sound hole, and seeping into the wood under the finish on the back. It creates a white filmy area which cannot be removed without expensive restoration work. Put your case away, focus on room humidity, and get one of these rugged, versatile stands to show off your beautiful guitar.

Just what we needed
The price is a bit higher than others but the quality is better. This is very versatile because it will fit a lot of different instruments and it folds up for travel. This stand works great for our band. So far we've had no issues fitting either electric or acoustic guitars. This just works.
