Essential survival supplies
I appreciate having this first aid gauze in my emergency kit. The quick-clotting feature is reassuring for fast bleed control, and the flexible design makes it easy to apply. The 3" x 12.5" size is versatile, and the two-pack ensures Iโm well-prepared. A must-have for any survival kit. Wish there was some way to make these more affordable though...

Perfect for a Stop the Bleed Kit
This is yet another review without using this product - something none of us hope to use but is invaluable in a Trauma or Stop the Bleed Kit. Having just had another refresher tactical trauma class, I realized this was missing from my kit. It should be a vital component. It is described as a quick clotting gauze, and to use it for serious trauma, it should be incrementally stuffed into the hole or cavity while maintaining pressure. Fold the remaining strip up and place on top of the wound while using firm pressure until the bleeding stops. DO NOT REMOVE OR CLOTTING MAY NOT OCCUR. I just learned in the refresher class that the blue stripe, which should be found in this product, is there so it shows up on x-rays even if the gauze is soaked with blood and not easily identified.
