Happy with the product
Very pleased with this item. It was very easy to install and is sturdy for its intended use. This is definitely a decorative shelf and is not designed to hold multiple heavy objects. The color is great and it was packaged very carefully.

Easy installation and high quality
Love these so much. The wood is solid and looks expensive. Installing took about 30 minutes with a drill and level. 100/100 recommend this!

bad design, won't hold weight claimed
this floating shelf is terrible. there is no way it can hold the weight it claims and its due to very poor design. allow me to explain...pictures show the issue clearly..I follow instructions and mount the rail to the drywall using the drywall achors. all that went fine. i slide in the slab of wood which is hollow...its very light weight. i place my 32 inch viewsonic monitor on the shelf which is maybe 7lb and nothing more. you can see in the picture the shelf is leaning downward...meaning it cant take that much weight. if yoyu look at the other pictures you can see the two tubes which slide into the hollow plank of wood only go less than halfway. you see the rail fixes the wall, leaving about a 1 inch gap. the shelf slides in...ya screw it into place so it can't slide out but in the picture you can see there is about 3 inches, about half the shelf which is NOT supported thus any weight on front portion of the shelf will lean forward because there is nothing supporting half the shelf!!! its crazy to me than the rail does NOT support full width of the shelf. yeah my monitor sits on it but its about to fall off or potentially slide off. do yourself a favor and skip this product as there clearly is a poor design. i'll be asking for a refund, this is not worth it at all.

Not very sturdy without extra support
Love the look. It’s exactly what I needed. They’re easy to install. I did use my own anchors that are stronger. As soon as I set an item on the shelf, it tilted down. The items had to be placed at the very back for it not to tilt down. I ended up buying brackets and now they are very sturdy and I don’t have to worry about anything falling off or crashing down.

You get what you pay for
First thing I noticed when I opened the package, which was packed well, was the shelves are really light and made out of some cheap material. I was really hesitant about even putting them up, but decided to try one any way, as I bought 3 packs of these..a 55 inches a 2 pack of 47 1/4 inches and a 2 pack of 35 3/8 inches. The metal brackets are really light weight and not heavy duty as advertised, and none of the holes will line up to the studs in the wall (16 inch on center) with such light duty items you at least need to be able to screw the brackets securely to the studs. Wall anchors, especially the cheap plastic ones they provide was not good enough for me as shown on another review of these products. I used another heavy duty brand of wall anchors and screws where I couldn't get the bracket secured to a stud. I also drilled the bracket to line up with a stud. Now the bracket is solidly attached to the wall. Even with the extra effort, these shelves are not very stable. They look good and will suffice for our needs but be careful and don't put too much weight on them or I'm sure they will sag. There is just too much play in the machining process to be solid. You can't expect much from these as you get what you pay for. They are thin and cheap but will work if you don't put too much on them.

Best floating shelves to buy
The best type of floating shelves to buy. They have the metal bracket that you attach to the wall, then slide the shelf onto. No scews in sight except for two small holes on the bottom side that aren’t easily visible. All hardware included, and they give you the spiral wall anchors which is a major plus / more user friendly

I love the look but I cannot put anything that has some weight because the way they are designed. Any weight and they will lean badly. I screwed it in solid wood but because they are kind of loose on the support, they will lean from the front if a 5 pounds object is place on it. The little screw at the bottom does not hold the thing firmly because it is screwed in plastic. So I will use them with very light weight objects. Nothing heavy.
