Great experience so far
I ve had this pc at work and so impressed that I bought one for home. This one has better specs than my work pc. Better gpu, 24 cores etc. set up was a breeze and it’s supersonic fast. I just got it tonight, so just completed basic setups. So far so good, definitely recommend it. update after 2 days. after setting up my required apps and working with them, I couldnt be happier. I will give 10 *s if possible.

DO NOT TRUST THIS VENDOR!!
I purchased a Dell Precision 3660 Tower for $3,899.00 what I received was a 2 year old 3680 exterior with a Dell OptiPlex Micro 7010, this is a low grade $700 consumer PC. Also the Windows 11 Pro license had been cloned and was being used by another PC. I spoke with Dell customer support and the confirmed the housing model and age, and that the system serial number was listed as an OptiPlex Micro 7010. When I contacted the company they responded Message from seller AI Engine: Hello, We would like to address the concerns raised regarding the Dell Precision 3660 system you purchased. First, the Dell Precision 3660 is a genuine Dell workstation model manufactured approximately two years ago. This is not hidden information, as Dell manufacturing dates and service tags are readily identifiable before and after purchase. Enterprise and workstation systems commonly remain in circulation for several years, and there will naturally always be some shelf life between original manufacturing date and resale. After ownership transfer, you will still get full warranty. Regarding the claim that the system contains an “OptiPlex Micro 7010 motherboard,” that statement is technically impossible. An OptiPlex Micro motherboard is physically designed for an ultra-compact micro chassis and cannot fit or mount inside a full-size Precision 3660 tower chassis. The internal layouts, mounting points, power delivery, rear I/O alignment, cooling configuration, and motherboard dimensions are entirely different. The system sold is a Dell Precision 3660 workstation platform, not a modified OptiPlex Micro system. Regarding Windows licensing, Dell business systems use OEM digital licenses embedded directly into the motherboard firmware (UEFI/BIOS) by Dell at the factory. These licenses activate automatically with the correct Windows edition installed. We do not install cloned or pirated Windows licenses. We are happy to assist with troubleshooting any activation or software-related issue, but the accusations of counterfeit hardware or cloned licensing are not supported by the actual hardware design or Dell licensing structure. Thank you. Charles Do not trust this vendor

Cheaply made product with poor cooling
I bought the 3660 with the i7-1300 chip. Have one at work that handles 3D CAD fine so I thought it should work with photoshop for my wife. Well, wrong. Turns out first off that there was a defect in this series processor (13th and 14th gen) where the CPU can be damaged. There is a bios update that prevents the damage, but my chip had already been damaged. It crashes whenever I do AI intensive editing (like denoise and background blur). Apparently this process really heats the CPU rapidly. I can’t seem to prove it to intel who blames Adobe. I went through all the steps with adobe including reinstallation, changing settings, and getting a 16GB gaming GPU. To upgrade the video, I first had to replace the crappy 500W power supply with a 1000W. Then I discovered the original fan cooler was completely insufficient for this processor. So I upgraded to a liquid cooler. Now I still need a new CPU. Until I looked under the hood, I never realized how cheaply made Dell PCs are. In the meantime, I bought a MAC, because it just works. My buddy has been using his MAC for 17 years now and it still runs photoshop perfectly. I am tired of buying a new PC very few years.
