I just received this yesterday and my initial impression it that it's a solidly built product. I was very surprised to find an actual slide lock on the switch that latches into onto the mounting base rather than it just snapping in. It appears well designed but only time will tell. Two points of concern I have are (1) the amount of force required to activate the plunger seems very high. Perhaps this is the "heavy duty" aspect of this products and is as intended but it feels excessive for most applications to me and (2) it is quite large compared to many other similar products on the market which will present an issue in tighter space installations.

I ordered this lock for a European cabinet that I have. The door closure had been a hook within a half-circle on the door. The latch broke. I decided to use this magnet as a replacement solution. It required some work to be sure that the moving mechanism on the cabinet frame married up exactly to the magnet to be applied to the door. I had some drilling to do, but I was happy with the result. It works perfectly and the door is aligned perfectly within the unit. Very pleased with the solution.
