You can do it. Be careful total load long with your iron should not cross the recommended power output(10A). Build is very strong. use safely for iron. Thanks

Nope. By default it stays on. I openned it and cut the led cord inside.. it's a simple serial connection, just one cut and proper electric insulation is fine. I had to do it on mine as it was disturbing my sleep. My parent asked me to do same for their bedroom one too. 😂
