DAP Dynaflex 230 Premium Elastomeric Sealant, Clear, 5.5 Oz (7079818860)

I wouldn't say I like waste and didn’t need a large tube, I wanted the sealant to be clear, easy to apply, waterproof, and flexible. I got all four. Applying the sealant is pretty much idiot-proof, this idiot nearly freaked when the sealant came out white, but it dries clear. The finished job was great, better that I could reasonably have hoped for, it looks like it was completed by someone who knew what they were doing. I readily recommend this product, the end results were really very good and I am pleased with how easy it was to use. Reading several reviews of products helped me find the exact one that I needed, it was time well spent.

Correction. I had written an earlier review stating that this CLEAR product was white. My bad. Left overnight, the white dried to a more neutral color. I would still not characterize it as "clear" or "transparent", but it is colorless.

Solved my Sugar and problem, at least for now. The window ledges and outlets in my new (to me) home were not sealed properly and I had an awful sugar ant infestation last Summer. I used this to seal every conceivable entry point in the area and the issue has definitely abated. Easy to apply, dries clear.

This sealant works well when fresh. Be careful if you're using a small bead and have to squeeze a little hard on the tube to get the sealant out. When I squeezed too hard the seal at the top separated and sealant squirted out. You can see where they punched the hanger hole at the top of the tube and left just a small sealing area, leaving it vulnerable to separation. And mine had drying issue after I tried to reuse it a year later. The sealant appeared fine when it came out of the tube but it's taking days to dry.

I love this sealant. I find it very easy to work with and it is useful for a lot of different applications. I like that it comes in either a handheld tube. The fact that it starts out white and dries clear is okay, but I didn't really have a need for that feature. I have actually gotten the clear mixed up with the white before when using both because I got the tubes mixed up (didn't double check the label) and couldn't tell the difference until it dried. Really great stuff the caulk with. Bought several times. Love the flexibility.

this is very easy to apply and clean up after. I use it for caulking the insides of my windows.
