Focal HADENYS High-Fidelity Open-Back Headphones

The comfort of these are superb! Their lightweight design and small form factor are a huge contributor to this. Their aesthetics are very pleasing as well. Now the sound of these are to die for. the instrument separation is phenomenal and the imaging performance on these are unparalleled by anything I’ve ever heard. The soundstage definitely leans more intimate and isn’t special at this price but that definitely has a lot to do with the tuning of these headphones considering they lean on the warmer side with a very full bass presentation. Truly a virtuoso for all genres of music though. I’m not the most experienced audiophile and as of now, this is my most expensive audio purchase and I’m VERY happy about it! I wanted to treat myself to an endgame pair. I currently own koss porta pros with yaxi pads, philips shp9500, and philips fidelio l2 and thought it was time to invest in something higher end. These are super efficient so playing them off any source shouldn’t be an issue. I’ve been using them a lot for immersive/single player games because that mid-foward presentation is perfect for dialogue and action. Got these on a deal too, the total being only $543 which compared to it’s $750 msrp before taxes, is a massive steal. Heard these are one of the best sub $1000 pairs so that price, I doubt you’ll find anything better. My only gripe is the lackluster cable really.

These headphones are relatively lightweight and very comfortable to wear for long listening sessions. The aesthetics are pleasing, with an attractive design and good quality materials. The tuning is very balanced with excellent clarity, definition and no sibilance whatsoever. Bass extension and punch is also unusually good for an open back headphone. As they are very efficient, you can drive them with nearly any source. My only minor complaint is that the cable memory can be a bit annoying. Overall, at a discounted price below the $750 msrp, ( I paid $436 ) you’d be hard pressed to find a pair of phones with all of the positive qualities these possess at anywhere near their price. Highly recommended.

Title is a bit subjective, but I believe this to be one of the best sub $1k headphones period. First, it is built wonderfully. It is very comfortable to wear and is light on my head while also feeling sturdy. It's Focal quality, and from the brand I expect nothing less. Second, and most important, the sound! It is tuned just to my preference; it has a bass that feels accurate without mudding the other frequencies, the mids feel spacious and vocals sound natural and punchy, and the treble sounds sparkly without sound harsh. While I wouldn't mix with these, they are definitely not a neutral headphone being a bit warm, they are an awesome listening headphone and makes music and gaming feel awesome! Would recommend for a friend who would want to enter the hifi world with Focal (especially when it was at $499 when bought, awesome price vs its $699 normal).

I picked up the Focal Hadenys during the current sale, and honestly, this is the time to buy them. At the discounted price, they punch well above their weight and feel like a true high‑end product from the moment you open the box.I came to these after owning the Sennheiser HD 660S2, which sound great but arrived with flimsy packaging and a “did someone already open this?” vibe. The Hadenys were the complete opposite. The presentation is premium, the molded case is included, and everything inside looked and felt brand‑new. It’s the kind of unboxing that tells you the manufacturer actually cares about the experience.Build quality is excellent — real materials, solid construction, and earcups that rotate flat for storage. They feel like a luxury item without being delicate. The cable isn’t the star of the show, but it’s serviceable, and the headphones themselves are so well‑built that it’s a minor footnote.Sound-wise, they deliver a refined, balanced presentation with great detail and a smooth, non‑fatiguing character. Compared to the Sennheisers, the Hadenys feel more polished and more “complete” as a product — not just in sound, but in the whole ownership experience.If you’re on the fence, the sale price makes this an easy recommendation. These are premium headphones that actually feel premium, and they’ve quickly become my favorite pair to reach for.

I own way too many Audiophile grade headphones (Sennheiser HD 600,660S2,505's, AUNE AR5000, Hifiman XS,DT990Pro, Audeze Maxwell 1, and many more). After getting that out of the way, I can tell you these, without a shadow of a doubt are my favorite. Focal has a signature sound that is extremely lush. The detail retrieval, and imaging is unique to focal. Dont get me wrong, the tuning on other brands are great and different and some may love the more analytical approach from some Sennheiser or even other Focals, or a bit more spacious and neutral like what Hifiman gives you. Of course every headphone within each brand is tuned specifically and different within their lineup, but in general those descriptions fit across a lot of those brands headphones. Focal though just does something special in regard to fun factor and making you feel something within you as your listening. The crazy part is this isn't even their most "Focal" headphone, its actually a bit of a detour, but at its core, it still has that lushness to every single instrument and beat. I use every headphone i have for different moods and purposes, but these are my favorite when i truly want to listen to music and just admire a song for everything it is. The comfort is also next level.

This is treble leaning and was very sharp sounding to my ears. The ear cups and yokes are rather small, so my ears came in contact with the driver cover, which is uncomfortable after about 30 minutes. Looks cool though.

Open back does not mean you’re blasting your music to the outside world. It does mean a fuller sound without reverb and a rich experience to enjoy at home. These are comfortable headphones for extended listening and the price is well worth it.

Amazing sounding headphones! Very lightweight and comfortable. I don't think these Focals are getting enough attention and credit for the clarity, resolution, and bass quality they provide. Part of that may be because they are so lightweight and mostly plastic. They may not "feel" worth the premium price, but they definitely sound premium! Extremely happy with my purchase. Got them "slightly used/like new" for a great price and are exactly as advertised.

Sound is warm and detailed with great tonality. They honestly sound more enjoyable than the Arya Stealth or Focal Clear OG to me.This is my second pair, the first I had a lemon so I returned it. This pair is much betterIt's the most comfortable headphone that I've ever worn. They are the perfect complement for my Arya SE.

Great headphones! I can only compare with Sennheiser HD580 and Beyerdynamic DT990. Focal Hadenys headphones are certainly a step-up in both clarity and how pleasant the music sounds, especially chorus. Also, probably because of low impedance, I can plug them directly into MacBook and other devices with 3.5mm jack and still get decent sound whereas the above headphones require a headphone amplifier.The only negative point is a somewhat stiff cable.
