Few products are life-changing. This certainly changed mine. For everyone who spends a lot of time at home working on a laptop, the ability to do this on a completely stable surface that swivels easily out of your way while sitting on your comfortable couch (instead of on the floor) is amazing. Especially if you are older, and getting up and down from the floor all day (no matter how comfortable your cushions and backrest are), gets tiresome. I own three laptop riser stands, of different heights and weights, and they greatly improved my ease in using my laptop in the living room (who wants to sit at their office desk all day?) But the problem with riser stands, especially those with taller extendable legs, is that they are not stable. I learned this the hard way when my big high-end ASUS laptop got knocked off the riser onto the floor. It cost me $500+ to replace the motherboard ! After that experience, I finally relented and bought this laptop stand/TV tray table. I hesitated because of the price and because I didn't want a piece of 'furniture' in front of my couch all the time. But I wish I had bought this product a long time ago, because it is great -- not only as a laptop stand, but also as a TV tray for eating at. The best part is that you can adjust the tray to any height you like (not pre-set increments like risers) and just push the tray lightly to the side when you are ready to get up off the couch. The tray swivels easily in many directions, so you can leave your laptop or food on it without fear that anything will tip over. It is a large and very stable surface. The assembly was pretty easy. The tray comes with all the tools you need. It took me a few hours, but I am a middle-aged woman who does not have a lot of 'home improvement' skills. If you can assemble a piece of IKEA furniture, you can assemble this. I see that some reviewers complained that this table does not fit under their armchairs, and I can see how that may be a problem. But if you have a couch, you will not have an issue. The base of the stand slides to fit a pretty big range of depths (the distance between your front and back legs, and then you simply tighten the bolts to keep it stable. Similarly, the height is easily adjustable to clear your couch arm, and you tighten the bolt when you are happy with the result. No more backache/neck ache from bending over to use your laptop! You can position it as close or far as you want. This is a simple but great product. I only wish I had bought this years ago. A++++

I got the Able Life Universal Swivel for a keyboard and monitor stand for my wife. The computer sits on the floor, the keyboard and mouse sit on the Able-Life, and the monitor attaches to a VESA arm that attaches to the Able-Life. For the application, the Able Life works beautifully. My wife likes how it looks, it is well made, and went together quickly. The bamboo table pivots around, the supporting arm swings, and the height is adjustable in discrete points (spaced a few inches apart; with a click to lock it in vertical position). The two legs of our couch sit on the two legs of the Able Life to hold it steady. There are two large screws that attached at the "elbow" down at the floor to hold the vertical section in place. There there are two separate set-screws that control the leg-to-leg adjustment. The only iffy bit is the leveling adjustment of the bamboo tray table. There are two screws underneath the unit that are screwed up to level the table. I'm not sure why they just can't make it level without these added fiddly bits, but they seem to work OK in leveling the unit. Otherwise, the Able-Life is strong, well made, and sturdy. Other posters commented that it is wobbly. This is probably those leveling screws loosening. So keep the supplied Allen wrench handy... I have an 8.8 pound LCD monitor (Amazon# B01LPNKFK) attached to an 8.4 pound monitor stand (Amazon# B00AIWFNUW). The keyboard and mouse are on the bamboo tabletop also. The whole thing works nicely. So my wife sits on the couch on the left side. When she wants to do "computer things", she pivots the bamboo table around and computes. When she's done, she swings it back around and out of the way. We got this setup and a Mac Pro to replace her previous MacBookPro laptop which died. We were disappointed in the new MacBookPro (2017) and she decided to go with a Mac Pro cylinder instead. So we had to convert her previous "laptop setup" to a "desktop setup". In this regard, the Able-Life worked out great. It is definitely doing something beyond what it was designed to do.

The table is excellent and fulfils our needs perfectly. My wife is disabled and the table adjustability makes it just right. The actual table top size is just right despite other reviews say it is too small, it isn’t.

Mum was using a collapsible wooden tv dinner table which was quite unstable and wobbly. This is so much easier, she can bring in her dinner, sit down and then pop her dinner on the table easier. It swivels really well and she can sit back further in her chair and still have the table right in front of her and not have to sit on the edge of her seat to eat. Would recommend this as Mum has had a stroke which affects her mobility, she can’t see well and it is solid once the feet are placed under the chair feet.
