100 Mindfulness Conversation Cards for Kids - Enable Meaningful Conversations with Kids

Bought this as a Mother’s Day gift for someone. Hope it provides good entertainment and conversation for her and her kiddos. Small, but I don’t think you’d want them to be any larger. They’re just conversation-starter cards after all. Arrived undamaged.

I’ve been using the BayWel 100 Mindfulness Conversation Cards for Kids with my students, and overall they’ve been a really helpful resource for sparking discussion and getting kids to open up. A lot of the prompts are simple, approachable, and actually lead to meaningful conversations that students seem to enjoy. It works especially well in small group settings or one-on-one check-ins where kids might need a little structure to start talking. That said, it’s not perfect. I’d estimate about 10% of the cards don’t really land well with students in that either the prompt is a bit confusing, too repetitive, or doesn’t get much engagement, which sometimes leads to having to redraw a card. It’s not a major issue, but it does interrupt the flow a bit during sessions. Another downside is the design. The cards feel a little plain visually and somewhat lacking in color or imagery. While that doesn’t affect the content directly, it does make them feel a bit less engaging for younger students who respond better to more visually stimulating materials. Overall though, this is still a solid resource for encouraging mindfulness and conversation with kids. The majority of the prompts are useful and effective, and students generally respond well to them. Despite a few weak cards and a simple design, it’s still a 4-star tool that I continue to use in my practice.

Just received them. Gave as a gift a family. Haven’t heard back but over time I expect to. They seemed very fitting.

It says it is for professionals but also says prominently 'For children 12 and older'. It was a gift for a professional women's white elephant.

It says it’s for ages 8 and up, but I bought it for my 5 year old son. It turned out to be a great conversation starter for us as parents, and it’s helped create really nice family time. My child actually enjoys hearing our opinions and talking things through with us. If you’re on the fence about buying it, I 100% recommend it!!!
