Go Plus Portable Coffee Maker Kit, Cream

My wife and I bought the AeroPress Go because we were travelling to see relatives and they did not drink coffee. We needed something good but portable and the AeroPress fit the bill. We selected AeroPress Go simply because it made more coffee than the other models (16 oz). I would pay attention to how much each model makes if that is a concern for you. Other than that, there really isn’t a manual. You get a QR code which connects you to their website and has a video on how to assemble and make the coffee. The video is OK, not great. But that is about all you can expect these days. The unit is very compact and once you figure out how all the parts go together, really simple to put together. The great thing about the AeroPress is that it can be disassembled and it fits inside the coffee thermos provided. There really isn’t much to complain about. IMHO, it is essentially a portable French press that is fairly rugged as well. If you like French press coffee, you will probably like the AeroPress. I’d recommend getting the metal filter because you might run out of paper filters and it’s not like you can run to the store and get filters for the machine. I’d also recommend getting a manual grinder and grinding your coffee. Pre-ground coffee simply isn’t that good. I will probably be getting a small portable grinder in the future. At home, I grind the bean just before brewing and it does make a difference. Other than that, you get exactly what you are paying for which is why I gave it 5 stars.

Love love love this product. I cannot praise it enough. I’ve tried several other types and brands of French presses and had to send them back. Hands down this one tops them all. I use this, not for travel but in my home everyday. The coffee grounds are contained in one little compact pod that just pops right out and into the trash. No coffee grounds going into my drains. The coffee tastes so great with no grounds or oils in my cup. I use the unbleached paper filters but stainless filters are available for the unit if one prefers. The double wall stainless steel carafe/travel mug keeps the coffee piping hot for a long time. I have only one complaint in that I wish it had a pour spout somehow incorporated into the carafe/mug. It dribbles when I pour the coffee out and into my cup, making a mess on the counter. But then again, I think it is designed to be a TO GO cup (thus the name Aeropress GO Plus) and to be consumed directly from the carafe/mug. Because of the excellent coffee I get to have every morning, the quality of the Aeropress and convenience along with no mess, I can easily live with a little dribble in my life. 5 stars. Hands down.

I am a truck driver, and I got tired of truck stop/travel center coffee that can be hit-or-miss, even at the national chains. In fact, I was tired of having to go to a travel center to get coffee, period. I wanted a way to make coffee on my truck. I looked for something that would not need a lot of space to store, not fussy to use, easy to clean, and still make good coffee. I have used this Aeropress for a month now, and this ticks all the boxes! I even love the storage for extra filters on the bottom of the cup! Minimum storage footprint is a huge deal in a confined space. This Aeropress and a one pound bag of coffee fit in a small tote bag measuring approximately 10x10x4 inches, with room to spare for small items. I have never used a French press, but I have read it takes a while. With this Areopress, it takes longer to boil the water than to make the coffee! The coffee taste great; no bitterness at all! Cleaning is as simple as dump the grounds and filter, rinse, dry, put away. I do make sure I wipe the plunger to clean the grounds residue. I like this so much I use it at home! Having said that, my only complaint is when I want a huge mug of coffee, I still need to use my regular coffee maker.....or I can make two Aeropress cups of coffee. For really good coffee, I'll make the two cups 😊 I will be getting a larger Aeropress for home use.

Very happy with this. The lid is not leak proof which is a bummer but not the end of the world. Great system for good coffee. I upgraded to a Prismo cap also and really enjoy this. I still tap into my other brewers often. Good beans and grinder still important.

4.5/5. I used mine for a month of travel. During that time brewed multiple cups a day, about 50-60 total. Overall very good, with two improvements that could be made, all of the usual Aeropress quality you can expect for easy cleaning and a good tasting coffee. The two changes I would make: 1) add a rubber gasket at the top of the extra filters holder on the bottom; this area can leak, resulting in all your filters being compromised. Or unscrew it and don’t screw it back on until you’re finished your brew. 2) Mostly aesthetic, but whatever finish they use for the logo and markings is very soft. I was using microfiber cloths, nothing crazy, and the markings came off FAST. So not particularly excited about that given my other, regular aeropress model from a few years ago has its markings still despite daily use.

It is quite compact, the box came a little damaged, but everything inside is perfect. The coffee brewed in this aeropress is just like any other, a really good coffee can give you a quite good cup. I would buy it again

This is my second Aeropress that I intend to use on holiday travels. The kit is super compact and everything fits inside the insulated cup. It can make a 'grande' cuppa, but if I need more I can simply brew more grounds and then add hot water to the concentrate.

First: Aeropress coffee tastes better. Less bitter; smooth. Second: everything you need is self contained and well designed. Perfect for work, travel, or just hitting the road. I love it. Third: the Plus Go brews up to 10oz and the mug holds 15 oz safely. If you're a heavy coffee drinker, just know you'll need to brew multiple cups, which is not a pain. Fourth: clean up! Egad, this is the simplest, easiest, and most efficient method (well, maybe after a k-cup) to clean! Lastly, I love mine!

A great upgrade to the Go. Aeropress coffee is great and easy to make in the move. The included mug is a great addition as is paper storage. Quick and easy to use and clean. A bit pricey though and you can’t store the device in the mug with the lid on. But a great product nevertheless.

Je le trouve déjà plus sain vu l’inoxydable et non du plastic pour le gobelet .Sa capacité n’est plus ressemblante à aeropress Classic et donc il permet de faire du café pour 2personnes d’une seule opération .

Ich war jetzt eine Woche mit diesem Kit in Norwegen campen. Die AeroPress hat mir dabei wunderbaren Kaffee gemacht. Dabei ist sie auch sehr schön kompakt. Klare Kaufempfehlung von meiner Seite.

I like the design and the portability! However, for the price of the product, you would expect the drinking spout to be airtight when closed to prevent leaking but you guessed it already, it isn’t. Furthermore, putting the AeroPress flow control cap on does not allow the top to close properly in “travel” mode, as the height is too big. This feature is important because while travelling (e.g., hiking), this flow cap is essential to prevent unnecessary coffee leaking during the extraction process. I also really miss a screw-on cap. It’s advertised as a “to-go” travel variant, but the combination of a leaking drinking spout and the absence of a proper screw cap means it starts leaking very easily. At best, I would recommend it for short commutes, but in my opinion it’s not truly “travel-worthy.” All in all, I find the product a bit disappointing. The price-quality ratio is on the lower end, even though the product has a lot of potential.
