I actually got this for TX/RX VHF, but didn't read everything before purchasing. Only listed for transmit up to 60 MHz. However, I put it on my HF feedline and it dropped the noise floor from about S7 to S5, which helped my SNR and weak signal reception.

I've purchased four of these chokes to use at various HF antenna installations because they perform as expected. I have not used, nor tested these chokes above 30 MHz. As for RF power handling at HF frequencies, they have been used to 1kW PEP SSB and 500W FM, without any issues.

This is choke that is inserted in the coax run to the transmitter. Installation is inserting a PL-259 into the SO-239 built into the end of the cylindrical choke and doing the same with the other connector in the coax run. There is no adjustment. After inserting the choke we checked the antenna analyzer. In short it read like the choke was a large attenuator and no real signal was present at the transmitter. Removal of the choke returned the transmitter to normal operation.
