Quality made unit, lots of features, and will record anything! Plugged in a Blu-ray player and a Fire Stick and it recorded them perfectly! I'm using a 1 TB SSD drive and record at the highest quality. Always excellent results only one downfall is it records only in stereo and is not record in Dolby digital or any other surround format. Just PCM 2 channel stereo. Getting the small coin battery in is a bit of a challenge you have to use the edge of a knife to pry back the connector on the right side to get the battery to pop in underneath the connection. That is the only downfall really! I frequently record shows such as Ancient Aliens from cable and give it to my friends on SD card so they can play back on their Android box. I've not purchased the larger backup battery yet but I plan on it. That way this would be a great little unit to take on a trip to watch movies with enclosed SD card memory. It will accept up to a 512 GB SD card. You will be very happy with this unit!

Sound is quite muffled, but it does what it says it will do.

I converted all of my family's old VHS tapes. I was able to convert 15 VHS tapes onto one thumb drive.

Using to record VHS to MP4. I learned not to let this record over 4GB. Although it recorded it well over 4GB my problem was that my backup storage drive would not let me transfer this large file. Now I'm spending time re-rendering it and splitting the video in half. But all in all I really like this video recorder. Works great. I have yet to try it on video games etc.
