You get what you pay for.
I am partially sighted and have used monoculars for decades, predominantly when attending football matches. I used to have a fantastic monocular that was given to me as a gift, but unfortunately lost it (and subsequently several others, usually after attending away games where I may have partaken of a "couple" of pints). I have bought countless "cheap" replacements over the years (ยฃ8.00 - ยฃ15.00 range) inevitably from China and it's been very hit and miss as to the quality (and to be honest mostly miss) so after losing my latest one I decided to bite the bullet, go against every fibre of my naturally thrifty being, and opted to spend a little more this time on the replacement and so bought the Opticron T4 Trailfinder WP 10x25 for almost ยฃ40.00 !!! Well, I wish I had done this years ago, the difference in quality is far in excessive of the difference in price. I can't recommend this product highly enough for use at sporting events, particularly standing out is the clarity of image (when compared to the cheaper alternatives). I'll still buy a sub standard cheaper one, but only to use when I go on a potentially excessive away game, cos there is no way I'm going to risk losing this gem of a monocular.
