How much usage do people get out of this before the battery stops working completely and they have to buy a new grass/hedge trimmer?

2 years for me. It won’t hold a charge at all now, and I only used it a few times.

where is this item manufactured

It's a NETTA product produced for Consumables Direct Ltd. which is in the UK but there is a small sticker on the device saying " MADE IN CHINA"

is the charger a UK 3 pin plug?

Hi there Yes its a uk 3 pin plug hope this helps

Question for Amazon - why are more than half the reviews going on about a Strimmer? I think the reviews to 2 different products have been mixed up.

The small attachment performs the same job as a strimmer except it does it much better!
