I've got a bleeding disorder. Would this be safe to use on my lips?

I have been on thinners since 1992 and use these with no issues. Yes they sting a bit but tissues fail on me all the time. This system does not.

Styptic powder for any animal including dogs is available on amazon. Powder probably easiest to use (just dip paw in, if for example cut claw a little too short) as opposed to this stick version. Up to you though.

Is this supposed to be a hard stick

YES, but dry it off after use or it will become soft and useless. Apply it, dry, to the affected area then rinse and dry the stick.
