Quality rod
I got the 7' rod, paired it with a Picifun carbon x 2, 8 lbs 8 strand braid with 6 lbs flora liter. I backpack river banks for catfish with 2 telescopic rods on my pack and the micro in my hand. I used the rod for a few months before I wrote the review. It takes the abuse of the occasional snag on low branches and bumps into trees as well as being tossed into the back of my Jeep. This rod is light weight, very durable, extremely sensitive to bites, and astectitc. I've caught many pan fish that I use as bait for the catfish, and during the wait for the cats I fish the area with the micro. I've caught large bass up to 17 inch, crappie and even a few small blue cats (4-7lbs). I am the type who likes quality gear and this rod will not disappoint. I read many reviews on rods and I would say that it seems no matter how expensive the rod you always get reviews that say the rod snapped on the first use. For myself this rod has been top quality. My only criticism is that the top guide is on the small side, even with a proper FG you'll lose some distance on your cast. Casting straight braid you'll get the "country mile". Hope this review helps. Good fishing.

E cellent little rod for the money
I have an obscene amount of fishing gear, as I have gotten older, I have culled out a lot of that gear and passed it on to family & some kids near bye that can't afford much. I was left with expensive rods and found myself wanting a few rods I can throw in the truck or car and not be too concerned about..not have to babysit like I do with rod/reel combos that I paid north of $200.00 for. This little rod is just what I wanted. It is super nice for the money, has a nice grip and all the wraps are very nice with only one have a little blew (has zero effect on perfect) the guides are great , and although not Fuji ceramic guides, they are very good for the price. I paired the rod with a ultralight spinning reel I also bought on Amazon. Choose an ultralight spinning reel that has 4.5 to 5 star reviews that has a price you are comfortable with. For about $45.00 you can have a great kitten ultralight spinning setup with line. I have caught many trout on this setup as well as other panfish..big slab Crappie on this rod are a lot of fun. A sweet little rod for a really nice price. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Light but strong
We’ve been catching bass all summer with Micro series 4.6” , 6.6” and 7’. With no issues at all. In fact I decided to buy 2 more 7’ because we like them so much rigged with spinning reels.Great casting and fish fighting. If you are new to Graphite rods remember that the tip is the most fragile. Never grab the rod by the tip or catch it in the car, step on it or whatever. Other than that I can only recommend it for the price you can’t beat it .

Utility quality
OK, not the quality of a $100 or up fishing rod, but for my 13 year old Grandson they are a great learning rod. The price was amazingly low. The eyes are stainless, not ceramic inserts but I'm not going to put less than 8 lb test on the reel for him anyway. Good purchase. The handles are pretty good quality and good diameter for smaller hands. The tip is definitely ultra light so should aid in casting smaller lures.

Fragile Broke After a Few Use
I use to have an old Shakespeare microspin ultra light that broke so I replaced it with this MCRSP702UL ultralight one. Supposedly they are both ultralight but this one is very thin. The tip rod diameter is almost less than 1/8” in diameter thickness. I had a 6lb line with a 1/4” oz sinker at the end which was within the limit of the rod. The tip broke off leaving me with about 6’6” of rod length. A little disappointed but I continued to use it. The next outing, when I casted my weight and jig, the whole body snapped. It was outside my 30day window with amazon so I had to contact Shakespeare for a warranty claim. They didn’t have the ultralight but they will be sending me out a Light version at the cost of $9.95 S/H fee. I’m a little disappointed at how fragile this rod was. I hope the light version is more durable but I wasn’t impressed. $30 dollars down the drain, I figure I couldn’t have gotten a new Ozark Trail set that would have had more life. Will not buy another one again.

Great rods, and a lot of fun!
I love this series of rods. I started with the 4' 6" ultralight rod, and bought the 7' light to try it out. The sensitivity is great, and punches way above its weight for its price point. I bought both of these for panfish, and have handled 3# bass with no issue. It looks cheap because it is, but it's ability to reliably catch fish keep is it in rotation when I'm targeting smaller species, or if I want a small bass to feel huge!

Easily my favorite light rod for twitching
I bought this due to some reviews on YouTube in particular. They suggested it as a fantastic twitching rod and I have to say that I was so happy with this purchase. It is by far my favorite rod for twitching small K tails, as well as jerk baits when fishing for largemouth. The rod has plenty or backbone & stiffness when you are fighting a fish, but great action on the tip for setting hooks and getting the lure you are using to get the desired action. It is comfortable to hold and use for longer days and pairs really well with a Daiwa Revros 1000. The actual price is just a huge bonus given the the ability of this rod when using lures. The 2 piece design also makes it more functional for transportation when needed. I would recommend the 7' light power rod as the action on it is ideal and not noodle like

Good light rod
Nice little rod. Great for small fish and light enough for kids to handle effectively. As a bonus for the kids, it makes even the smallest fish feel like a fun fight. For the price, I won't be upset if one of the kids breaks it, though I expect it to last several years at minimum.
